Dwyer from GA is a real good analyst for these outcomes. I've been watching some of his predictions on youtube, pretty good.

I agree on this one. Although I think Verno is gonna have some moments. Only stopped early in his career and his style benefits his age. And we cannot forget this was Cory Spinks he beat last time out.

Yea Williams has another huge size advantage but we'll see how it plays out. Wouldn't be the first time we've seen a smaller man make him look terrible.

I watched the Spinks-Phillps fight live online when it happened and I wasn't impressed at all with the performance of either men. I don't think Phillips can hang with Williams (he barely did with Spinks). That fight with Quartey a few years back was a good time to watch, but there's nothing he's done lately that tells me he can beat Williams -- especially considering his loss to Ouma, who's style is similar in some respects (Williams hits way harder).

Williams is much better on the inside than anyone Phillips has fought in the past while, and I can't see how Phillips can win this from outside.

Williams TKO somewhere in 9 or 10.

Or I'm all-wrong. Anything's possible, particularly this year.

The only thing you have to consider here is that Margarito effectively muscled Santos around the ring with volume and pressure. Granted he had a scare early. I'm sure that Williams can take a punch though.

Alcine turned out didn't have much of a chin and Santos exposed that. Margarito probably has a light heavy chin in all reality. So too does Williams. Remember how many times both Margarito and Quintana nailed Williams flush and he was still there.

Santos just a bit harder a puncher. But I am not sure if the pressure would make him crack before he hits Williams with a fight finisher.

Vernon is just too small at 5'7" and too old at 38 to really have much of a chance. If he can steal a few rounds and finish on his feet that will be a moral victory of sorts.

Paul Williams has a very respectable chin but I wouldn't use Quintana and Margo as examples. Quintana has little to no power and Margo is much more accumulation based.

Williams had the brilliant strategy of tying up whenever he got hit flush...so everytime Margo landed a real good one, Paul immediately locked him up until he was able to recover.

I wish more fighters would learn how to clinch properly.

i think williams might tko him late but either way don't see phillips keeping up with williams. he either has to show great defense and counterpunching or he's ****ed.
