Strange how PW nuthuggers are more interested in talking about Margarito than they are PW's upcoming opponent and fight.

strange how you're the first one to bring up Margarito in a thread about PW and PW's upcoming opponent you ****ing hypocrit.

And you brought him up twice. After noone replied to you the first time, you did it again. Why did you even start this thread? Hoping someone would bring up Margo and then disappointed when noone did?

Phillips struggled with Ouma's open chin in the air pressure.

Williams is almost as active as Ouma, but is also Southpaw and a better boxer and has better defence and a harder punch.

I think Phillips indeed represents a tough challenge, but Phillips is not going to win IMO.

His tune will change after the fight...The guy that he is picking to win will become a bum.

Geez us, you can't even say his name. It's Verno Phillips. Its a fight that's about to happen and will probably be one of the toughest challenges PW will have to faced to date. Yet all I see are dumbass bandwagon nuthuggers like yourself, pre-occupied in like 6 different threads about Margarito not signing to fight Mosely waxing on about how great Paul Williams is and totally overlooking this fight as if Phillips is just another can like Kolle or Mattysse.

The reason I started this thread is because I just want to talk about this fight that actually happening and the match-up of styles. Apparently, all you nuthuggers know how talk to talk about is hype and he said/she said bs.

Verno brings a lot of experience, craftiness, and a solid chin to the table and PW hasn't exactly impressed me with his ability to adjust to guys that don't stand directly in front of him and try slug it out. IMO its a much harder test for him than people realize and shouldn't overlook it.

More like your hoping that its going to be a tougher fight...No one is falling for your crap...Its not a big fight its a stay busy fight..Can Phillips win...hell yeah he can this is boxing...Will he win??? Not likely. Will Williams have to work for the win??? Yeap...but you know what?? So would Margo, who has shown that he has a hard time beatting bigger stronger fighters.

I got a lot of same kinds of reactions when I picked Hopkins over Pavlik. Of course, we now know who all the dumbshits were. Who'd you pick in that fight?

I'm not as certain that Phillips will win as I was with Bernard, but I'm quite positive that he will give Paul more hell than he got from Quintana in their first fight. This is not just a stay busy fight, this is a title fight. Phillips just beat Cory Spinks. I felt it was closer than what the announcers thought but not as close as the judges scored it. If PW gets by him, it will be a huge win for him in my eyes. But right now, all I see is a one-dimesional guy who has yet to win a title defense.

    :rofl
Why, because he KO'd some tomato can at 160? The 1 and only 1 good win on PW's resume was a slight decision over a one-dimensional 147lb champ, who he was never able to hurt despite a generous size advantage. At least Kelly has decisive KO's against Miranda and Taylor (a p4p fighter at the time).
