Disagree Dan. I'd still favor Cotto if they fought again.

pw is right in a way but it still was the same margo that beat cotto and the same margo everyone had sayed was this monster.he only became a monster after the cotto fight, so weather margo was on the decline or not, shane still beat the same margo that just beat cotto.

so i think pw is right and at the same time it does not take away from shanes win, i always say a good boxer can beat a great fighter.

You don't think Shane will apply more pressure than last time?

You think Shane will stand in the middle of the ring again where Cotto has proven he is more than capable?

Let me know what you're thinking!!

Lou DiBella is not going to let Berto anywhere near Paul Williams.

Well Margarito wasnt really a monster . He had already dropped more losses then I am sure he wanted. I thought Clottey edged him out. Should have least been a draw, Willimams beat Margarito at his own game which is propbaly fair to say is a schooling within itself, and now this.

Williams will never beat Winky, so this fight will most likely never happen.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Berto fight, but in no way would I think that would be THE fight to see- it'd be like cheering for Calzaghe to take a fight with Bute over Dawson. Sure, I'd watch...but I'd still be thinking I'd rather have seen the other fight. Mosley vs Paul Williams is the toughest fight out there that realistically could be made for Shane, and would do more for him if he won it. A Cotto rematch would mean more than Berto, too.

williams is right but even margo at his best would still have problems. he just not that naturally gifted. he was getting outboxed by cotto, clottey, williams too. its just that his duarbility got him through cotto and clottey and it close with williams. mosley just blew him out the water.

It was the same MARGO Paul beat, the same one Cotto got Beaten by and the same one Shane destroyed. Styles make fights and Shane had the right style, enough power and enough speed to take advantage of the Mexican fighter. I still think Paul beats Shane, but Paul better have a good Game plan which he always does. Bottom line Shane boxed beautifully and tied up Marg to eliminate his offenseive pressure. He was fast enough to catch Marg coming in and smart enough to keep range and not fight the entire fight on the inside.

Shane would have a hard time against Paul since Paul has a longer reach than Shane, and could pretty much follow the blueprint Vernon Forrest laid out.

Shane beat Margarito the way Cotto should have fought. What wars did Margarito fight that all of a sudden he is slipping? Before this fight he was going to conquer the WW division for the exeption of many saying he is ducking "I don't know which division to fight at Williams". Now, I really believe that many posters dump on fighters as soon as they lose or don't perform 100% each and every fight. I have to agree that Mosley will beat Cotto if they fight again. As far as having an iron chin. If you consistantly keep getting hit he way Mosley was throwing those haymakers, you will most definitely get dropped or hurt. He took some very good shots early and did not go down.
