Give me one reason why Floyd, a man who started his career at 130lbs should fight Paul Williams nearly 6'2?? Why the F would people even mention williams?? God forbid even worse Vernon Forrest? WTF...WHY??? I'm not a fan of Mayweather at all but I admire his skills...But why the hell would Merchant or any one bring these opponents up? They are nothing absolutely nothing for Floyd.

Floyd will fight again and I think he goes for 40-0. And what fighter better to do that against than Miguel Cotto? Both stars and what better than to end your career taking out an undefeated fighter in Hatton and another undefeated fighter in Cotto? Cotto also deserves this shot because he is young and he has fought up the ranks fighting everyone he possibly could to have a chance to set up a real fight with a superstar athlete in Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather and Cotto has to happen he should happen and I think there isn't anyone better to go out against for Floyd than going out with a possible win against Cotto. :deal

Mayweather-Cotto is the only fight left. It must happen.

But Arum already has other plans for Cotto.

It's the only thing that makes sense for Mayweather, Does he really really need it? No not really. But if he wants to transcend the sport 100% he needs to. Cotto would be the frosting on the cake to his entire career. Floyd is SOOOO close to that threshold of serious greatness. Cotto is that one more opponent to do it for him. As a Cotto fan I'd love to see the fight happen, and at the same time its a possibility for history in the making for Floyd.

I don't think Floyd has anything left to prove, but I would love to see him school Cotto and the rest of the current welters.

Cotto is the nail in the coffin for Floyd's career, if he takes Cotto out he will be DONE with everything, retire as a true all time great 40-0 beating everyone in his path.

Love to see him fight Cotto, but to fight Williams. Well Floyd's never backed down from anything and to go against a guy that throws about 100 punches a round, is taller then him and can has actually faced and beat Mayorga, yeah think it'd be a great fight to see. Him and Cotto match up perfectly, be an amazing fight. But if he could beat Williams, that would shut up all critics (if there is any left) of Floyd's. Either person he faces is fine with me though, but I'm a big fan of Williams to and love to see them face each other.

I like how Floyd's whole career rests on Miguel Cotto's shoulders. The fact that people think that Floyd's not an ATG unless he beats the almighty Miguel Cotto is laughable.

It's also funny to me because Paul Williams would be EASILY the tougher fight for Floyd.
