He beat one dimensional Margarito, Got schooled by Quintana and Martinez hit him at will his defence is poor, He slaps his punches and his technique is poor why does everyone think that fighters duck him? Floyd would school him just like Quintana and Pavlik will knock him out cold.

Good fighter with enormous physical advantages and a lot of heart. Sure, good hype working too. So what?

Williams is a good fighter. He has the potential to be much better. But top 5 P4P as some have him? No friggin way.

    1. Exciting style, lots of guts
    2. Mayweather fanboys enjoy the fact that he dispensed with Margo

One of the cool things about him is that he's willing to move up and down weight classes to fight the best.

He fights the best and he beat magarito when he had the illegal hand wraps.

People like Paul because he's an action fighter. he throws 100+ punches a round, and he gets hit clean a lot too. All that makes for an entertaining 36mins. He's not the most skilled fighter, but he has heart and produces a lot of action.

you people suck... you know that?

name one fighter in the past 7 years who has shown more balls....

fought margarito who NOBODY wanted to fight
fought winky who nobody wants to fight
fought martinez who nobody wants to fight

can make welterweight yet challenges the official 160 champ

**** is wrong with you people.... maybe if he was spanish you would enjoy him more

he's talented and exciting but not top 5 P4P AT ALL...got exposed by Quintana and Martinez...Pavilk will KO him although I don't think Pavlik is the same after the Hopkins loss...which will make it a great fight.

Nobody thinks fighters have been ducking him. It's just fact. Otherwise he'd be able to fight more often. He's been calling out everyone from welter to middleweight.

Five years ago and beyond that Manny Pacquiao beat a paper champ in Ledwaba. Had been schooled by two Asian boxers and Morales hit him at will. His defense was poor, he threw only a straight left and his technique was also poor. Why did a lot of people think he was going to be the next best thing?

You see how that works? It's not always about a fighter's resume. It's his overall presentation and how much potential he has that gets him noticed. I definitely don't worship any fighter but P. Williams is one of my favorites. I have him at #10 in my top 10 P4P list. That's not crazy at all, even from a casual fan's standpoint.

Why all the hype? That's the nature of things. It's the hype itself. Doesn't matter the details. Paul Williams was able to somewhat reinforce the preexisting hype at different points. That's where it really gets moving.
