I know many don't think Winky can be stopped but there is a good chance it'll happen. This is Paul's biggest name opponent and he is going to bring it. People talk about Winky's defense and yes it is exceptional but Paul Williams goes to the body and that will be key to him beating Winky's turtle shell defense down. Paul will slowly break down Winky. Winky has become easier to hit later in his career because he has increased his offensive output leaving himself more open at times. Paul has those HW length arms as well, and Winky can be hit to the head with hooks even when he's got his guard up. Those long arms of Paul's will make this easier.

Winky is not shot but he was not in the best shape his last fight and now he has to lose 10 more pounds after almost 2 years of inactivity. Winky is no gym rat by any strech of the imagination either. The weight will hurt him, thus hurting his stamina and that's bad news against someone with the volume and power of The Punisher. Remember, Paul puts a lot more power behind his shots now. Expect Paul to come out working his jab real good as well.

Paul Williams will be stronger at 160, but with his speed and high work rate intact. Even though Winky may be able to do some nice countering at times, he does not have the power to hold off Williams (Winky's power is a bit underrated though, but Paul has a great chin). Winky won't be KO'd cold because he does have a good chin when he does get hit, but I believe will begin to recieve too many punches and the fight may have to be stopped. Body shots from Paul via vicious right and left-hooks will take their toll. Paul throws a lot of punches, but he does not throw them a la Calzaghe style. He has been showing some serious pop in his last 3 fights.

Aside from a tactical perspective, I think that the Hopkins/Pavlik and Mosley/Margarito fights are still in people's imaginations and may be influencing the supposed schooling they believe Winky will give Paul Williams. Paul Williams is no Pavlik, and he's no Margarito. He's not going to be taken off his game like they were, and he is not as one dimensional. Virtually everything favors Paul in this fight. That was not the case in the above mentioned fights even though some may have thought so. I never saw those fights like that and picked Bernard and Shane to win. This fight will send a message in big style to the middleweight division, and to everyone fighting from 147 to 168! I think Winky is a great fighter, but he's in with the wrong guy for his first fight back is all.

The Punisher takes it by dominate UD or late TKO!:rasta

Dont think so. Winky has one of the best defense in boxing and it's hard to land clean punches on him. Even bernard and taylor couldn't knock him out. How do you expect williams to do it.:patsch I would not be surprise if williams wins by decision but by knockout? I doubt it:good

He'll wear Winky down. Winky was much better against Taylor than against Hopkins obviously but Bernard wasn't going for a KO like he tried to against Pavlik.

Winky's defense is better than Bernard's. Hopkins is just a better overall fighter.

Williams is fighting Winky at the right time after Winky has been off for awhile. He should almost try to start off fast and see if he can stop Winky, because if Winky should make it into the late rounds Williams might have a tough time.

people seem to forget that winky is/was known as a high volume puncher as well - but he is accurate as ****. if winky is in shape, healthy, i see him decisioning paul williams by majority. and i'm a huge pw fan.

its gonna be tough to see how wink does with all the other factors (age, ringrust).

LoL. Winky IS NOT getting TKO'd or KO'd. If Taylor couldnt do it, it can't be done.

PW has more action than JT...i doubt if there are still crisp in wright's punches, im sure PW wouldnt mind getting hit, just to launch his right straight into the chin of winky

Taylor couldn't knock out a hole in a wet paper bag. His last KO was 4 years ago.

I don't think Winky will get ko'd either though.
