Who's a bigger puncher(straight up, not in a p4p sense), Zab Judah or Jermain Taylor?

Don't think so, unless Winky is 100% shot

williams lacks power, most of williams punches were bouncing off phillips.

This is hard to imagine...someone KOing the Wink?

Hard to imagine because of who he's fought. no one KOs Winky Wright. His defense is too good. He's too smart of a fighter.

Paul Williams is going to fight him just as he did Margarito. He will try to "patty-cake" his way to an easy UD.

    Snoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooze!!

i wanna see how williams reacts to wrights jab which is deceptively quick and deadly accurate after that we'll know a lot. I have no clue how this will go because i still see williams as very green and his defense is average and he has very little head movement (essential against a jabber like wright). To me this fight isnt about what williams does but what whether winky can do what he used to before the lay off if so i see it being easy for him

    That won't happen.

The last welter who moved up to face Winky was a better boxer with more power than Williams.

    And he lost 120-108.

Now that was a few years ago, so Winky might have aged.

But that version of Winky easily beats any version of William seen so far.

This is a tough one to call. I like Paul more because I think his speed will give Winky problems. Plus, Winky's inactivity will not help him against a fighter like Paul, who is a volume puncher.

His inactivity may also affect his timing to counter-punch, which he must do often to have a chance.

You've made some solid predictions this year Jeff, so I know you've thought this through.

Blasting Kolle and Phillips though doesn't have me sold on P-Dub stopping the Winkster. Bernard couldn't put a dent in him at 170. And since Williams' plan is obviously going to revolve around outworking the older fighter, I'm not sure the punches he'll be throwing will even be all that damaging.

I might have to put myself through watching Hopkins - Wright again to decide what Winky has left. There's an outside chance the layoff did his body some good.

Yeah I re-watched that one recently before I made the prediction.

There is no chance that Paul Williams stops Winky ... Winky has one of the best beards in the business and can take a good punch to the head or to the body.

Williams will make the fight entertaining but i'm not sure that he will do enough to win the fight --

I'm not saying that Williams won't win, but it won't be like many people on these boards expect.

Winky has good defense ... good chin ... and a good right jab ... and he's always coming forward at a measured approach.

Williams will throw alot of punches, but he could be just like Sam Solomon (I got it on tape) who throws alot of punches (1,000) but doesn't do anything effective.

If Winky win's he's going to win convincingly and if Williams wins its going to be close ... maybe by a round or two.

This is all the same stuff that people always say will beat Winky but it never works. "He'll out volume him, go to the body, he won't be able to keep so and so off him...." it never works. Winky didn't have enough power to keep Trinidad off him and he won every second of that fight. Taylor is much bigger and stronger than PW and so is Hopkins. Williams won't look nearly as big at 160 as he did at 147 and I expect Winky to walk him down and land clean shots all night long just like he did to Mosley in their first fight.
