i like your confidence. I also take great pride in pre-fight analysis. in my prediction, I actually hope that I am wrong. i hope it is a much more entertaining fight than I anticipate. i don't think I will be though. I think it is going to be somewhat of a snoozer.

Again, i hope that I'm wrong, and if I am i will be the first to admit it.

i hope that you will have the character to man up as well.

i can picture it now: "link, you were right...your boxing knowledge truly exceeds mine!!"

I will be the one reminding you, should I remember.

That reminds me, did you forget about the prediction league?

I'll admit I was wrong but don't go overboard! That picture is a fantasy!

Yeah you might randomly forget incase your prediction falls through? I've been doing one prediction league in the forum but since I'm in the lounge more now, perhaps I'll start picking in your's too. It is the legendary Rumsfeld's prediction league afterall!

Fact of the matter is, Winky has been in the ring with better fighters and he's beaten better fighters than Williams. If Quintana can beat Paul, I'm pretty sure Winky can.

That your logic is badly flawed.

People are forgetting that PW is a welterweight , if he wins this fight I give him mad props... if he loses, I wouldn't consider him to lose much stock.. he should be in there fighting guys like Cotto , Mosley, Clottey

They won't fight him unfortunately. So this is why he's got to jump around divisions. He'd rather be fighting at WW.

If Clottey beat Cotto he's about the only one that would consider fighting Williams but Arum probably would not make the deal.

With Winky's situation, Williams is the obvious favorite in here. But you know what? I'm going with Winky. Just a gut feeling that he'd still be good enough to win an SD or close UD.

I favor Winky, still hesitating on whether I like him enough to bet on it. When they were thinking of having this fight at 154 I would have never taken Winky, but at 160 Winky should be fine I am worried about his ring rust and age more than him not training hard....but neither that much.

If I can get Winky at +200 it is going to be hard to resist to put at least a small wager on Winky.

I should really do my homework though and find out how Winky's camp is going as well as go and rewatch their fights.

Winky just seems so much better. Williams more of a big strong athletic type. I think the Quintana rematch may have been a bit flukey, chaotic. I remember thinking that when I watched it. I give PW credit but I don't know how much confidence I have based on his resume.....we know who Winky Wright is but the odds are based on who we think PW is....

Quintana and Margarito gave PW very tough, extremely close contests at welterweight. There is a significant distance between those guys' talent levels and Winkys. And this is at middleweight.

Maybe this fight will end up looking like Wright vs Soliman?? PW throwing four hundred billion punches, Wright not looking his best, but still getting the rounds and taking the decision?

I remember watching little Pakau nail PW flush, and thinking right there and then, this dude PW can't go on like this and expect to last.

Of course, Wright could simply start to take rounds off because of fatigue...

An interesting fight I need to think about it more.
