true but that was then and this is now. flloyd should fight the best opponent available at this moment and its williams. would you not like to see berto/mosley in jan and floyd/williams in march and then the winners fighting each other in the summer ?

He is ready. He has already been treated for his cuts (headbutts -might I add), and will be ready in March.

And make no mistake about it. He might be able to make 147 easier than Floyd, considering recent developments over Floyd and weight.

Who would want to see Floyd after he gets decapitated?

    That's just nasty.

I don't agree with this. Sergio Martinez is a very good underrated boxer. I thought personally that PW would walk through him but Martinez showed what he can do and the fight against PW should have been a draw. Mayweather knows that that's why he's not calling out PW after that fight. If Floyd knew he could beat PW, who's been calling him out for the longest time, he would have told Rooney AKA Ellerbe to make the fight but he didn't. Paul WIlliam's name isn't even being mentioned after Pacquiao decided to fight Clottey. Who did GBP and Mayweather mentioned? Matthew Hatton, Nate Campbell, Cintron. No Paul Williams.

The type of manager that wants to maximize his and his fighter's profitability.

As for "Williams would fire his ass:" You know, there is a thing called contracts. Those are not easily broken.

floyd would never develop the courage needed to fight the punisher. you can add that to death and taxes as a certain.

Pac is not ready for March 13 as well based on cuts only.

He should be ready! Just wear better head protection during sparring so as not to re-open the cut.

I actually would like to see this fight. We have a differing opinion on the outcome though.

right but if williams manager would intentionally try to stop his client making the biggest pay check in his career because it suits his needs only i think that would be grounds for some kind of mutual split.

fact is if floyd wants the fight its there haymon cant do **** to stop it

He should jump on this ****. Williams is still a top dude but all that avoided and most feared **** has finally been put to rest. This is a tough matchup for Floyd with that height and workrate, he'll have to fight to take this. We know Williams is open for rights all day long and he's able to be outboxed by a fast thinking boxer like Floyd. That movement and speed will give Paul hell all night.

Sign the damn fight and shut some mouths Floyd. He needs this ****.

I dont know why it wouldnt happen.

Williams would be a bigger name even if he takes the
    fight and loses to Floyd.

What hed lose at the table against Pavlic, he'd make
    up against Mayweather anyway.

I cant see why this fight wouldnt happen, plus Williams
states he wants it, obviously Floyd doesnt.

But in saying that, If I was in Floyds shoes, Id wait for
the winner of Mosely Vs Berto.

If Floyd was confident of landing Mosely/Berto winner,
then he could fight Williams, Mosely/Berto and Pac towards
    the end of the year.

    But that wont happen
