Current GGG? Uncle soon will be 40 y.o and while he is with better exp and so on, good if he will win vs Murata.

PW left himself open to often. That's the curse of being a volume puncher w/o a lot experience or discipline

People really do overstate how well Brook did vs GGG.

Believe it or not I think Brook was better than Spence and would've outboxed him had he not fought GGG and broken his orbital.

Orbital cracks end careers, I'm sure Dubois will be extra careful before getting in the ring with someone who can jab hard anytime soon.

PTP could have troubled GGG and Canelo, as could've The Grandmaster.

...jfc, what I wouldn't give to have both those guys still able-bodied today; imagine the match-ups we could have seen:

    • Williams vs. Canelo (was actually set & scheduled when he suffered his accident)
    • Golovkin vs. Pirog (was also set & scheduled when Dmitry's back gave out)
    • William vs. Pirog (common opponent in Nobuhiro Ishida, both taking wide decisions over him in 2012)
    • Williams vs. Golovkin (also had the Ishida commonality to make it an easy sell for HBO, besides both being stars)

GGG vs Pirog was my dream fight back then. Pirog was crazy smart for boxing. He graduate school with silver medal and 2 universities with red diploma ( all-A graduate excelled in all disciplines ). Learned boxing without coach just by watching VHS, hahah

Yep. But everybody always talks about those rivalries (GGG vs. Pirog, the one that we didn't get and probably the best one; as well as GGG vs. Álvarez, which we did get and which was...okay) but nobody really ever discusses the other permutations of this quartet. Williams vs. any of the other three, or - hell, Pirog vs. Álvarez, eh?

Williams would be in the fight in the early going, but Golovkin would find his chin eventually.

GGG KO's The Punisher absolutely brutally within the first 3 rds. Scary KO. Far worse than Martinez.

I suspect if in good shape Pirog, then he had sparked Alvarez if they had fought, he was far from stuff we usually assume as former am boxer in pros.
Sadly when Pirog had been enough noticed he already was not young and later this back injury happened, when he was not able to train properly. Pirog was highly responsible and better opted to retire rather than show up in bad shape for good $$$$$$$$$.
Prime Pirog vs real prime GGG might had been Damn cool fight.

GGG would brutalise Williams to the body - like the Macklin KO!

Not a good style match up for Williams IMO
