Paul Williams would school Kelly Pavlik if they fought, maybe even knock him out...

    Williams would whoop Pavlik worse than a 50 year old Bernard Hopkins would. But of course you can bet that Arum and the Pavlik camp are content to stick Pavlik in there with the likes of Gary "Eurobum" Lockett, Marco Antonio "Mediocre" Rubio, and Sergio "The Latin Fake" Mora.

    They don't want any of Paul Williams and I don't blame them. Paul Williams would completely expose the robotic hypejob that is Pavlik. If old man Hopkins who throws about 20 punches per round shut Pavlik out... Imagine what Williams would do?

    Yeah, I was thinking that too. I don't know about a KO though.

    Willams does get hit though and he has yet to be tested by that kind of power.

    Question is, would Pavlik find him?

    i would go for a ud not a ko just don't think he has elite power @ 160 against a opponent like pavlik. i can see him bamboozling him cos pavlik struggles under flurries and paul just don't stop. he need to take less risks with his defensive movements but i could see him beating kelly by a 3-4 rounds if he grows into weight properly

    williams could not deal with pavliks power,, pavlik by a 6th round on ko or tko

    He could very well out point Kelly but Kelly has the power to hurt Williams unlike Winky. Punchers like Abraham and Kelly are the type that I would pick to beat Williams.

    come on a great fight but has williams ever been hit by a true hard hitting mid weight he might not be so strait forward i think pav might knock williams out either way would love to see this one more so than the pav vs.aa

    I won't be surprise if williams beat pavlik by decision if he can take pavlik's power. We all know pavlik is a power puncher and williams leaves himself open alot. Winky landed couple of big shots but he is not a power puncher. If pavlik or abraham land those kind of punches on williams, i dont know if he can take it.

    Pavlik has got power and Williams gets hits fairly easily.. But so does Pavlik. I'm not too big on Pavlik.

    My gut says Williams would win this.

    exactly,, williams gets hit alot,, imagine pavlik or abraham hitting him. Williams got away with it tonight against wink but don't fool yourself thread starter.

    Stylistically, Paul has the advantage. He is more fluid on his feet than Pavlik and has a much higher work rate. His chin looks pretty sturdy, but it has been yet tested by a big hitting middle weight like Pavlik. I would still go with Williams by UD.

    By the way, I think this fight would be great. They should really try to make it happen.
