Big payday or not, it's not the ONLY payday for Margarito, nor is it a big stage fight, which I think Margarito is looking at.

But like I said, at least Margarito paid his dues. He beat most top guys in his division. Williams and Goosen look like they only want big name fights. I know everyone wants big name fights, but at least take care of the rest of the guys in line first.

Also I believe Arum said he didn't want to work with Goosen, not specifically Williams, since Williams is just the fighter.

Yes, Williams has the potential to be the champ @ 160. We'll be better able to gauge him after the winky fight. But right now I would not put him in w/ AA or Pavlik. A fight w/ Sturm would be interesting. A fight w/ Duddy on TV would be an excellent fight w/ FOTY potential. Hell put him in w/ Andy Lee. There just aren't too many Americans @ 160, so going over seas might be a risk he needs to take.

But with guys like Vern Forrest, Santos, Spinks, Mayorga, Kirkland, Ishe Smith, Joel Julio, Mora, and of course Dzinzurik @ 154, he has more realistic (and wise) options then @ 160.

kirkland or angulo would provide all the challenge williams needs @ 154, let alone getting cracked by pavlik or abraham

Na, I hear ya. I remember when Floyd was looking to fight Spinks the Mayweather fanboys were acting like they were SOO Stoked about it.

I was a BIG Spinks fan for one fight, against Mayorga. But he's a damn good fighter, just a little too boring to sti through. :good

Williams is a damn good fighter. He's not the best, but he is on his way and as long as he can keep winning theres no reason to bash the guy.

So true Boom_Boom, the only one who did hold the flag for Williams after he lost to Quintana was 'walk with me' and that's it.

    Co-sign

PTP is also an exciting fighter who can mix up his attack. His length and work rate alone should be enough to intrigue the casual observer. He's a potential star in the making and I simply don't understand the hate.

williams vs josh clottey. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that Clottey wouldn't turn down a fight and if I'm not mistaken he also has a belt so it would be partial unification. Paul's a ****in liar if he says clottey wouldn't fight him.

    Clottey is promoted by Arum.

Clottey can talk all he wants but his promoter wants nothing to do with Williams.
