The thing about P-Will is I don't think he's as avoided as he thinks or the people around him want to make other people think he is. I mean, he's already going to have a huge fight in front of him with Martinez giving him a rematch. To be honest, I think that's the fight most hardcore boxing fans will be looking forward to. Not Pacquiao-Margarito, not any other fight. And then Cintron challenged Williams not too long ago and didn't do bad himself before he took some redbull and gave him wings. I think if he beats Martinez for the middleweight crown fighters from the middleweights or higher won't give him the same respect as the jr middles and lighter did and I think he knows that because he'll be giving up some advantages he enjoyed. But I think having that moniker taken away as the "most avoided fighter" will be good for him because more people will want to fight him. It all depends how he looks in the Martinez fight. Dzindziruk, Lara, Pirog, Angulo, Golovkin, Sturm, etc and many more might be willing to fight Williams whether he wins or loses against Martinez. A rematch with Cintron wouldn't be bad either.

He looked dreadful against cintron, was very lucky to get the result. Martinez outboxed him for at least 8 rounds . I think he is overated and can be outboxed.Such a poor jab for a reach like his.

couldve been an atg welterweight but i think his prime will be shortlived because of his going up and down in weight so much will eventually take its toll plus sparring too much and being in too many wars

Williams is a fraud. Ducks people like Dzinziruk and Martinez. Cant utilise his mammoth physical advantages which is to be honest, very embarrassing.

He is looking worse each fight and was getting handled by Cintron until you know what happened.

People don't realize that as fighter you cannot move up and down in weight and be affective ,its going to always affect your performance.Currently Wiliams is the only fighter out here that is willing to fight at WW after Fighting at MiW. name any fighter that can or will do that.Look at his last six's fights all his opponents were heavier than him. He's still a scary fighter to face because you never know game he's going to bring.

What do you mean you never know what game he's going to bring? Paul Williams has no adaptability or variance in game plan, at all. He can't adjust for ****. He swarms all over his opponents face first. When he tried to mix it up and box with Cintron he was getting beat to the punch the majority of the time.

Did you see the last round how Williams was coming on ,he would have stop Cintron the bum. You will eat your words when Williams stops Martinez before the 5th trust me on this one.Be very afraid that night cause Williams is going to bring it as a matter of fact Ive never even heard of Sergio until Williams fought him ,but you did here about the punisher way before then.

He still has a lot to prove. This year has been **** for fights not getting sorted and when he did get a fight it ended in a farce that was not his fault.Im not going to slate him or call him overated,im just a bit sick of hearing that nobody will fight him cos they are all petrified.Whoever is handling him needs to make the fights happen next year or his career is going nowhere.

Paul Williams = spray and pray!

And, if PDub is "feared and avoided" how the **** does he manage to fight 2, 3, or 4 times per year?

I favor Williams to win, but no result would surprise me in this one.

I remember Martinez knocking Williams' head back over and over and over again. What if Martinez had had time to have trained? This fight will happen, but Williams insists on his personal judges, as usual. Martinez should insist that the fight be in his home turf for a chance. He gets robbed by criminal judges a lot.

Williams was going to lose to Cintron.

His problem is that even though he's huge, welterweight is his best weight. And there are basically only two guys there that are worth fighting--Mayweather and Pacquiao. Williams' problem is that he somehow feels he deserves a fight with them based solely on the fact that he would probably win, when in fact he's done nothing to deserve it.

His best bet is to drop all that nonsense and campaign at 154, then move up. Angulo, Cintron, Martinez, Cotto, Martirosyan, Dzinzuruk...Nobody would complain about those fights. He could potentially clean out 154 and still hold the linear MW title if he beats Martinez in his next fight.

While he's doing this, he can make a case for a 147lb superfight by beating Berto and Mosley. He'll never get it, because Pac and Mayweather have pretty much earned the right to handpick opponents and a guy of Williams' size is just all wrong for them. But he could build his case if he produced some sort of fanbase and dominance in a higher weight class.

The guy has plenty of options, he just overvalues himself to a ridiculous level. I mean the guy would be tall even at LHW. **** all this welterweight stuff and gain a few pounds!
