He's pretty good but, honestly today the bar is set rather low

His commentary on aj v Ruiz 1 was absolutely superb.

he was calling things about 20 seconds before they happened

His boxing brain, balanced commentary, and Italian american accent are a joy to listen to.

He has taught me so much about boxing just by listening to him review a fight as it happens.

Whats weird is the difference between him as a commentator, and fighter. So strange how someone can just switch like that :)

By far my favourite commentator in the game

He sees the action and calls the effective punches that most of the other announcers miss or are too busy flapping their lips.

I get that, gone are the days of the single announcer calling every shot while totally focused on the action alone but some of these announcers are completely missing critical punches. Sometimes I want to tell announcers stop with the backstories and life chronology of the fighters and just call the damn action that's going on.

That is true Pauli’s is better spoken & articulate.
But Roy’s insight is superior ...
    “ like that right there!”
Always love how he used to break down & predict what was about to happen or what each fighter was looking for & then it manifested itself in the fight!
    “Oh there he go!”

Okay buddy - you convinced me.
Malinaggi is a better boxer then Roy - Hall of Famer for sure on his fundamentals alone.

I ment to say Roy is a better Prize Fighter.
    What say you now?

What a bunch of nonsense. LOL. Malinaggi, much like Roy relied a lot on his speed and reflexes for defense, however Roy didn't get countered nearly as many times as Pauli. Roy's footwork was superior and his punch accuracy and timing were RIDICULOUS. They were both slick fighters, Roy was just far superior at using his strengths to win fights. You don't beat HOF fighters like Toney and Bhop and win (what should have been a gold medal) in the olympics on athletic ability alone. Paulie on the other hand never really beat anyone of note.
