Paulie saying he told you so and saying he won a lot more than $100K https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv-_OuT_clQ&feature=youtu.be&t=2m53s
Paulie had a very successful career. And considering his lack of punching power, doesn't get nearly as much respect as he should for his skill in the ring. Very few guys could have the success he did in his career, with the lack of punching power Paulie had. I said it before the fight: You guys built Manny up to be King Kong. Reality happened.
Paulie lost to every top fighter he ever faced. The dude talks WAY too much ****, he hasn't earned the right to rim Manny's butt hole, yet he is on the constant verbal attack. Before Manny even fought ODLH he had already achieved WAY more in his career than Paulie ever realistically even dreamed of. The guy needs to shut his mouth. He's annoying and nobody cares about him. Achieved a lot considering a lack of punching power?? Lol look what manny achieved with his lack of conventional boxing skill, please.
Maybe my definition of "sucks" is different than yours. But Paulie, who won a world title, doesn't "suck as a fighter." Nobody is comparing Paulie to Manny, but for some keyboard warrior on the Internet to say he "sucks as a fighter," sorry, but I respectfully disagree. What I said is true, and if you can't see it, well, then I'm sorry. But Paulie was/is an intelligent boxer and honestly a damn good ****yst. My post literally had nothing to do with Manny Pacquiao. I have no idea why you brought him up.
Paulie's career has nothing do with his knowledge of the sport. Knowing something doesn't necessarily mean you can execute it. Coaches were hardly ever the best players. Roach isn't as good as as the people he's trained. Robert Garcia , Floyd Sr ... I don't like his delivery and his voice irritates me but he called this fight to the tee. And I agree with him about the 1/4 effort.
Very intelligent guy to listen to but he doesn't half talk some smack about Pacquiao, he has an irrational hatred for the man so I take some of it with a pinch of salt.
I think his conduct during the time he fought Broner was pathetic. Showtime keeping someone on staff who behaved like that was embarrassing for the sport. If I was Espinoza he would have been fired as an announcer on the spot.
Paulie isn't even elite. He is at best B minus without any punching power. Come on lost to cotto, porter juan Diaz, no chin khan etc... Plus, he waxes his eyebrows and has an annoying high pitch nasal voice
The thing about Paulie is he's not politically correct, gets emotional and calls it like he sees it. I like the guy as he's a breath of fresh air compared to some of these older more seasoned color commentators. I'm not saying he's all that great or better, but I enjoy hearing him go off and get emotional at times. The guy knows his stuff that's why they keep him around. You also fail to mention how Broner was conducting himself. Without the Broner antics I'm sure Paulie would have kept things clean and professional. It sold the fight, it's a fight most wanted to see play out with all the drama leading into it. Was a close fight that could have went ether way. Say what you want, but you never know what Paulie is going to say without his politically correct filter.
