Paulie Ayala vs Clarence Adams 1 - Underrated Super Bantamweight fight

25 years ago Paulie Ayala faced off against Clarence "Bones" Adams for the vacant IBO Super Bantamweight title. The always scrappy Ayala bites down to narrowly edge the craftier boxing technician in an underrated war. Although both not very hard hitters they nevertheless put on a tremendous show. It was a very close fight where some believed that Adams did enough to get the decision.

The two would meet again the year after where Ayala clearly gets the better of Adams and wins by decision where he also claims the vacant Ring Magazine Super Bantamweight title.
