VADA sure as hell isn't any way near perfect. But it's clearly better as the crap that is USADA, RUSADA, UKAD and such.
The time they ever catch cheaters, they let them off the hook anyway.

Pretty sure if boxing would have the level of testing sports like cycling and such (which isn't any way near airtight either), and normal duration of bans, the landscape would look significantly different.

 

VADA were probably hoping Pauli would get on the juice so he could up that KO ratio and make a few quid for himself.

 

Catching fighters taking PEDs is a nightmare situation for just about everybody concerned,Promoters and networks are often left with no fight or replacement opponent and obviously the fans miss out too.
It would seem,going off recent cases,that the only one who doesn’t come off badly is the actual guy caught taking em.6-12 month bans are laughable.

Maybe nobody wants to admit it as we all wanna see extraordinary feats-if it doesn’t bother you,this kind of thing is great but let’s not kid ourselves?only the use of PEDs make this kind of thing possible.
I believe this is what Golovkin is alluding to?Canelo fans have yo yo’d In position over this for years,first it was “he’s a natural 154lb fighter”even though he looked like death on the scales,then when he ballooned up in weight “he was always that size” and now he’s fighting at light heavyweight and cause he’s always hid his weight on the night nobody really has a clue.Save to say making 154lbs and fighting at 175lbs are two extreme ends of the scale,however you look at it.

Nuff said. VADA catches cheaters at 60-1 rate vs USADA, you know, that thing floyd and malignagi was batting for years, and when usada caught boxers including Floyd, they hide this from camp B or issue them a TUE, 21 days after the fight.

I agree with you. Paulie is right about this. PEDs are changing boxing. Boxer's not doing PEDs are at a major disadvantage.

Same with same day weigh-ins. Cut the rehydrate bullspit out of the game. The size differences in some fights are astounding.

Clean up the sport.

Either allow PEDs or tighten up the testing and penalties for getting caught.

Tightening up is not likely to happen though as it would hurt stars and potential stars. Boxing badly needs stars.

The casual fan probably wouldn't understand how they being used?Paulie is merely referring to the fact that pounds and inches have always been important in boxing and you do see on here,folk who have forgotten this when they ask why Golovkin doesn't do the same.
Maybe it hasn't occurred to them how there isn't more doing it?I'd to as far to say it's physically impossible to without PEDs.

I completely agree. PEDs are making it easier for some to move up in weight.

I'm thinking Canelo is not going from junior middleweight to light heavy without them.

Pacman had some years where he was overpowering and crushing guys in heavier weight classes. The power he was able to carry as he moved up in weight was suspicious.

I'm not looking to bait the Pac and Canelo die hard fanboys. My opinion is it's highly probable both were or are juicing. Canelo was caught. Pac was suspected and went through a period where he suddenly wasnt blasting guys out any more.

I'd put money on Joshua being a PED guy.
