Can't believe I failed to notice this until now, but why is Paulie no longer the IBF champ? Because he failed to rematch Ngoudjo?

Also, I haven't heard anything about Hatton's Ring belt being up for grabs, is it not? Why would a fight between the champ and #1 have the belt at stake, when the belt was on the line when the LHW champ fought the #6 contender? Or did I just fail to notice that Ricky's belt is up for grabs?

Paulie got stripped of the IBF belt becuase they put Ngoudjo as his mandatory after he already beat him and he informed the IBF that he would be fighting Hatton on Ngoudjo so they stripped him
    . . .

Rickys IBO and Ring Magazine belts are both on the line tomorrow

"In an official letter sent to Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) and Juan Urango's promoter Seminole Warriors Boxing, the IBF has confirmed that Paul Malignaggi would not be able to grant mandatory challenger Hermann Ngoudjoa rematch and that he therefore will be vacating his belt. Ngoudjo (17-2-0, 9 KOs) will now face former world champion Juan Urango (20-1-1, 16 KOs) for the vacant IBF junior welterweight (140lb) championship. The IBF has set an October 18th deadline for GYM and Seminole Warriors Boxing to reach an agreement, or it will order a purse bid to determine the details of the bout. According to GYM President Yvon Michel, Ngoudjo was willing to wait to face the winner of Malignaggi-Hatton, but neither fighter would guarantee Ngoudjo a shot at the title. "We were willing to be paitient and step asside to let Malignaggi defend his belt against Hatton, but we would have to be guaranteed an immediate fight against the winner. We never received that guarantee, so we pushed the IBF to call a purse bid, which forced Malignaggi to vacate his title," Michel said."

The most important belt is on the line tomorrow. The Ring belt. Remember, Calzaghe is considered the best at lightheavy even though he doesnt hold a alphabet strap.

**** it, whoever wins this, is the best period. Dont need a belt to tell you that.

Ngoudjo was so obviously robbed that the IBF let him as number one. To become mandatory, he had to face Souleymane M'baye. Malignaggi shouldn't have kept his belt in the first place. He fought like **** and I still understand how three judges gave him the win. Oh! except they all were from Vegas.

It was a close fight but I also think Ngoudjo was robbed.
