So many posters on here seriously stand by this as if fighters of the past didn't take shits or bleed blood. Just because people fought more often in the past, appeared to be in more competitive bouts, means little as far as comparing past champions versus current champions.

I think Floyd makes competitive bouts with any fighter his size in the history of the sport. Not saying he'd win them all, but they'd be competitive.

Mayweather ran from Margarito - 2006, Cotto - 2007/2008, Pacquiao - 2009/2010...wait a minute these are all Top Rank fighters. Can it be that maybe Floyd/Haymon just don't do business with Bob Arum?

    Could be.

    margarito wanted to fight Floyd

    pacquiao didn't

Cotto admitted he never pushed for a Floyd fight until he was done with bob arum

ridiculous comment. Maybe he wants a fight with Floyd so he is getting on his good side. He still has to beat Broner.. I think Floyd fights Berto or Alvarado next.

If you can't hurt guys like Sugar Ray Robinson or Sugar Ray Leonard, you CANNOT beat them.

Floyd Mayweather's one weakness is his offence, and his power. His offence can be one dimensional, all single shots, his idea of a combination is to pause for 0.5 - 1 second inbetween punches or 1 - 2's..."AT WELTERWEIGHT".

Abit of defense and movement is not going to confused guys like Sugar Ray Leonard or Sugar Ray Robinson who are just as athletic, and have probably faster hand speed when it comes to combinations.

One punch speed/single shots..? They are pretty much all in the same speed department.

How on earth is Mayweather going to beat Sugar Ray Leonard..? Out box him..?

And Tommy Hearns, could so easily do to Mayweather what he did to Duran.

He would probably take Mayweather's jab away from him, like he did to Ray Leonard..?

Can Mayweather fight like Ray Leonard did against Hearns in the first fight..?

Against a guy with rockets for arms..?

    Not so sure.

No. More like people stand by fighters that were great in eras that were jam packed filled to the brim with talent. Talent is lacking today homey. An plenty of fighters of the past i wouldnt favor over some champs in recent years
