When Haney said he'd never lose to a white boy it was in poor taste, but have to remember he was about 20 years when he said that. I'm sure we all said and did things at 20 that we wish we could take back. I got to cut him some slack for being an idiot kid. When Hopkins said it, he was over 40 years old FFS. You expect an older man to have way more perspective than that.

I'm not sure Haney is in the business of taking on big challenges. Undisputed fell into his lap and he can get a lot of mileage out of it for years and years. I think he moves up to 140 and takes a long time working on his skills and picking off weaker opponents until the landscape clears and he can grab more and more belts. I imagine he'll fight for undisputed at 140 in 3 years when he's 26/27. Taylor will either lose or move up within a year or two anyway and the belts will be floating around.

 

Should have respected George more along with their "Fans" he easily could have fought others for the next 2-3 fights before facing Haney or even more commonly could have just gone & done what Tank does in every single PPV fight & then become more hyped like we see so many fighters become.

Im not sure about that. Haney can box and can probably match Lomas speed punch for punch. I wanna see what Loma can do against Ortiz first to make a better prediction because that Ortiz fella can fight.
