Depends on the fighters to be honest. An American HW would likely stand to make more money fighting the K bros on their homecourt.

And Hops is actually a perfest example as well. He fought Pascal in Canada becuase it made more money there. Hops isn't a draw at ALL in the US.

And Paulie isn't a draw anythere either. He just seems to be holding out for an HBO fight as a stepping stone to a naturally bigger, but younger, guy. A fight GBP would likley set him up to lose at.

 

I wouldn't say that the non-travelling is dependant upon the flag on your passport. It's a big disadvantage going abroad fighting on the card of a foreign promotor.

 

Agree with this. He likely wont stop Senchenko so he will have to get a decision against the champ in his hometown. I certainly understand Malignaggi's view on this. Some posters' bias against Paulie are making their posts garbage.

Malignaggi feels like he will get robbed and the only way to win is to KO the other guy, but we know that aint going to happen due to Malignaggis pillow fists.

 

That's just his paranoia. Sure he was right once, I'll give him that. But so's my watch twoce a day when it stops.

Still, at this point in his career, what's the alternative? Not fight ANYONE for a title shot he doesn't even deserve? He ought to thank his lucky stats he has an op to win a belt in a hot division anyway.
