He basically states the money making fighter will get the nod every time. That judges have 3 minutes and in that time if they look hard enough they will find a reason for the cash cow to win it. Also mentions on how Canelo's shots look more explosive than Golovkin's as they are faster and wider, he states than no way on earth did Canelo win 7 rounds in that bout. This content is protected
ignoring the punch stats, I think Canelo's footwork helped him sway the judges in the close rounds, always coming forward made him look like the aggressor
Ok so if Canelo clearly won 3 of the 4 scoring criteria Defense Ring Generalship Effective agression Only thing left is clean punching..... And Paulie even admits Canelos punches are more eye catching because of their explosiveness Where is the robbery?
I think outright robberies at the top level are mercifully rare but a general rule is that the unfancied fighter has to win unequivocally whereas for the protected money maker / hometown draw, any draw or tight contest will go their way.
But that didn't count for shyte in the first fight First fight ggg is the aggressor clen boy allegedly didn't run but boxer off the back foot lol Second fight clen boy adopts ggg first fight and ggg something of a type of clen boys use of ring etc This time the judges like ggg style but with clen boy using said method with more speed of foot Oschers penning that open letter seems he knows he's damaged the sport once again I remember when he said he's here to give back to boxing what it had done for him Get back in the kitchen oscher
People are giving rounds to Canelo that they didnt give to GGG in the first fight...... That's the problem I have with the scorecards. "It doesnt matter that GGG outlanded him, Canelo was the aggressor". Well GGG did both in the first fight and was given 6 rounds.
Yes that's how I feel. The scoring criteria is what they are, if you want to change them that's a different argument. I had GGG winning the first fight. I thought Canelo got unreasonably favorable scores vs Mayweather, Lara,Trout, Cotto, Khan I personally believe that there may have been some bribery of judges in the past by Golden Boy because he ALWAYS seems to get the benefit of the doubt. But this time, he won this fight. Plus Steve Weisfeld is a good and imo honest judge
Paulie generally hates the business of boxing and wherever possible goes against judges, commissions, promoters, etc. He clearly feels like Boxing did him wrong throughout his career and he consistently lets that cloud his judgement. It's a shame as he's otherwise a very astute pundit. Canelo won clearly.
