I think Broner's power will make the difference. He'll still have pop at 147, and Malignaggi is not the same. He'll make the fight interesting and I'm not counting him out, but he seemed one-dimensional in there with Cano.
The only thing not overrated about Paulie at this point is his toughness. Hes not fast anymore, hes not slick anymore, hes not elusive, his D isnt all that, and of course hes known for his lack of pop. Not to mention that at this point in his career he has taken some horrible beatings.
Paulie will **** him up. Broner needs you to come to him and stay in front so he can set his feet. Kid has zero footwork from all those hours he spent in the mirror standing still and throwing Floyd combos.
How exactly was Hatton "shot"? I dont see how people are thinking this is an easy fight for Broner. Paulie is bigger, faster, tougher and more skilled than anyone Broner has fought.
Broner can be very static. Could see Paulie dancing around him using the jab to good effect for large portions of this fight. How effective Broner's power at 147 is remains to be seen, but he'll have to work on cornering Paulie and landing power shots and combos.
If he can do what reese did for 2 rounds and prolong it for 12 rounds he can very well win the fight.Easier said than done though
this would be Broners hardest fight! Just look at Reese and compare Reese with Paulie. Big difference there. Also I believe Paulie hits harder than most Lightweights just because he is a welterweight!
Broner is a 25-1 fav according to Oddschecker. PM is a 9-1 dog. So, all you PM lovers, put your $ where your mouth is.
