Khan did good last night. He was clearly nervous on his way to the ring, as you could see by that huge gulp of air. However, he dominated with the jab from the onset and systematically took Malignaggi apart towards the end. It was a good stoppage by Smoger, as Malignaggi's head was getting rocked back on several occasions

Really? I saw Paulie as the nervous one before the fight started. Khan seemed very cool, even circling the ring and approaching Paulie probably greeting him before being given instructions by the ref.

:-( Not mentioning Hatton, that's a dickmove. Hatton dominated Paulie much much better than what Cotto and Khan did. Paulie wore some "stop haters" shirt, yet he is being a hypocrite. He needs to accept the fact that Hatton wobbled him and hurt him bad in every round. If he didn't hold on to Hatton' s legs every time he was hurt Hatton would have scored a couple of KD's.

No he doesn't. Why does this make him a hypocrite? Do some people realize there's a context to things? It doesn't make him a hypocrite. He felt he was all wrong fighting under McGirt with that style. Maybe he has a bitter tone and viewpoint on that part of his career but he doesn't have to recognize Hatton as an elite. Cotto is and was clearly a better fighter. Khan we have to see but we know he's an elite talent.

Obviously the Paulie of the Cotto fight does better against Hatton.

It makes him a hypocrite because he didn't even mention Ricky Hatton giving him a beatdown. He's hating on Hatton. May'be he doesn't have to reconize the fact that Hatton is elite, but that doesn't change the fact that he got his ass kicked. Sure, he may feel that he used the wrong style, but he used the same exact style as he did against Khan. He stood there flicked out a couple of jabs and that's it. He didn't use his legs like he said he would.

From a resume standpoint and what both fighters achived, no Cotto isn't clearly the better fighter. He might be a bit better, but that is up for debate, and it depends on who you talk to. Cotto was clearly the better fighter at 147, but Hatton was clearly the better fighter at 140. Khan yes is much more talented than Hatton, but as you said we shall see what Khan achives in his career.

He didn't mention a lot of things. All he said was Khan and Cotto were elite. Who cares what Hatton did to him? He thought he was off with McGirt and maybe had a bad night. He doesn't think Ricky is elite because he walks into punches. It's pretty simple.

No, it doesn't. You answered your own statement there.

Dude, Cotto is clearly the better fighter. A more accomplished fighter, and a better fighter. This will probably be further solidified if he beats Foreman. Make a poll... it will turn out 80-20 at the worst. And 80% of those votes will come from the Brits.

It does matter what Hatton did to him, especially since he's calling Khan elite. You even said it yourself, Khan hasn't proved jack yet, he has the skills, but hasn't proved anything. Paulie is still bitter over the fact that Hatton gave him a boxing lesson.

Cotto isn't clearly the better fighter. Like I said, it's up for debate and it depends on who you talk to. A poll doesn't prove anything, it just means people think Cotto is the better fighter, it doesn't prove anything this isn't a popularity contest. The majority thought Froch would beat Kessler, they thought Abraham would beat Dirrell, etc etc etc. I could go on.

If Cotto does beat Foreman, then yes, P4P Cotto is clearly the better fighter.

Hatton was more convincing against Pauli than either Khan or Cotto - he even out boxed Pauli.

Unlucky Paulie, Hatton (that limited fighter) beat your arse, so much so you were clinging to his legs for grim life, get over it.

Agreed, but I think Bradleys power is often under rated.

He's excellent at timing people on the way in too, look at those big rights hands he put Witter and Cherry down with. I don't think Khan would be able to continue after one of those...

Um, Kessler was the favorite. And I would say 60% thought he would win. This isn't a debate on H2H but resume/achievements, in which Cotto is better than Hatton.

It may only solidify it for the Brits or kooks like you.

Khan should face maidana or bradley next......Watching khan use his height and reach last night, makes me think he takes bradley to school, bradley is small for LWW....Maidana might get stopped by khan....he would be running in getting caught clean....

Alexander is Khan's toughest foe in this division...

As for Paulie, I think he is done, at least at the world level.....and may just walk away....What does he do after this?....I would favor him to beat the Kotelnik's and Urango's of the world.....and if he chooses to fight next.....I think Kotelnik is the right opponent for him.....but what good does that do?

Paulie is a bit of an overachiever, has possibly the weakest power of any fight, in division at world level, and was still able to win a world title, make a few defenses, and get big fights in the process....He has made good money for himself, if he walks away, I can't blame him...

Paulie has overachieved if anything. It's a great thing he's gotten as far as he has. No shame in how he's performed.

What a ******, still refusing to give Hatton credit for completely outboxing and outclassing him.

Not surprising. It was one of the most embarrassing losses in the history of the sport after the Malignaggi labelled Hatton nothing more than a glorified club fighter and then himself was made to look like the C class bum that he is by Ricky.

The tranny did nothing but try to hug Hatton the whole fight, grabbing on for dear life around Hatton's waist and legs. Must've been natural instinct having probably been in that position alot outside the ring. Pathetic, what Hatton reduced him to.

Malignaggi is a piece of ****. He will be remembered for the beatings he took, if at all. He was never any good, lucky to get the big fights he did. And this bum continues to trash true champions like Hatton and Pacquiao and their achievements.

**** this pathetic loser, I hope he retires. I'm sick of him opening his little lip-gloss covered mouth.
