hatton duck everyone before the mayweather fight.

Magic Man has already fought Cotto. He doesn't run and hide.

Paulie Malignaggi will be fighting Ricardo Torres next. I think Paulie Malignaggi wants to fight for a bigger title after that fight. Paulie Malignaggi should remain at 140lb.

Paulie's very slick but he'll always need to stay careful and concentrate 100% because guys are ready to take 3 of his punches to land 1 of their own. He basically has as much power as a mosquito and against top notch competition, that lack of power will make elite guys keep fighting inside and eventually land their power shots !

Yes I said it. Paulie's style doesn't impress me. As I stated, he imitates his favorite boxers. He doesn't have a style of his own. Lack of power. Maybe as he gets more fights and experience I won't want to vomit whenever I watch his fights.

Most fighters emulate their favorite fighters.. not imitate.:good You have to have your own style.

Paulie Malignaggi has been calling out a bunch of names, but nobody wants to fight him.

Judging on his last display I don't think many fighters are scared of him. He does not have enough pop to hold off Hatton and will be stopped, or will drop a points decision.

Power is something that a lot of boxers use as a crutch to make up for technical shortcomings. You can make up a lot of ground on a technically better opponent if you are just very athletically gifted (Roy Jones). To me this says that Malignaggi is going to have to keep honed and always work at staying sharp. He has to train harder than boxers with massive punching power. Also, he is at a point in his career where he doesn't have pushovers as opponents so he can't be too experimental with changing his body dynamics by putting on mass. He needs to keep his body streamlined to execute his winning gameplans. He can tweak and build slowly but to come in with 5 pounds more muscle could slow him down that little bit that would have him on the receiving end of those heavy hitters counters.

I say a boxer doesn't NEED power to be great, it is just a way to improve your highlight reel at the end of your career.

I take your point but power comes in very useful if your defence isn't technically sound like Paulie's. A fighter is less likely to pile on the pressure offensively if they are concerned about what is coming back at them.

Malignaggi is a risk taker who has a fighting style which suggests he has power. He lunges in a lot and throws wild swinging punches. The only draw back to this is his punches aren't very powerful and fighters aren't concerned about walking through them as Ngoudjo proved.

Paulie thinks Floyd is best all-time ... Paulie tries to fight like Floyd and takes alot of shots ...

He hasn't fought anyone ... his most significant fight was against Cotto and he took him 12rounds ... which was an accomplishment on his own and doesn't say much about Cotto's power.
