Anyone can get caught. Come on, even the best boxers get caught and go down. your point is valid, but applies to everyone, not just to Joe Public.
You guys who think Paulie can't KO a regular person must be crazy. There a reason he's a pro and you're typing in you're computer. He can't KO pro's that doesn't mean he can't KO regular people. I'll give you an example I can't hit a home run against Johan Santana but that doesn't mean I can't hit a home run against a regular person. Thats why there pro's and we're regular people.
has Paulie Malignaggi mention that he once beat up all the street bullies in Brooklyn before turning pro?!
:huhDidn't I KO your punk ass last week? I'm surprised they released you from the hospital so soon.:!:
His lunging in that he does is usually a stiff jab. No one on this forum can say with unbias that Malignaggi doesn't have a phenomenal jab. It frustrates opponents very well. I say his JAB STRENGTH if there is such a thing is in the upper eshelon. I do, however, agree with the general concensus that he could use some more pop to the rest of his repetoire. I'd love to see some of his 6-8 punch combos finished off by staggering power punches. If he can keep winning and start putting asses on canvas and WIN versus top tier opponents, then he will be mentioned in the same breath as the greats of today. He is not there yet, but certainly has time and ability to make the changes necesary to be grade A in my opinion o.
A rematch - Malignaggi vs. N'dou - May 24 Paulie Malignaggi has a fight in Nov/Dec against an unknown opponent.
Paulie Malignaggi, age 27, probably should consider fighting the very top next year. He's still young and has several more years in him, but he has to be showing up with big wins. He has only fought 25 fights(24-1). I'm sure he'll have a big fight next year.
He gave Cotto one hell of a fight. Great? Who knows, at least not at the time being, but he has skills, and can take serious damage.
