No. You weren't listening to him were you?

He acknowledged that a 7-5 against him isn't so bad, he felt he won the fight, but he'll have to rewatch it on tape. The issue he has, quite clearly, is that in no way was that a fight a 118-110 or even a 116-112. As you said, it was a close fight, and the fact that the scores were so wide proves that no matter what Paulie did he was going to lose the fight. On that basis, he has every single right to mouth off like that. He busted his ass in training camp for weeks, months, and the decision is already predetermined. Bull****.

It was a close fight to judge. I thought Paulie was getting the better of Diaz but it wasn't pretty, and the flashier shots were definitely landed by Diaz.

    However, he's right.

The power shot argument is lame. The word power shot simply means not a jab. Juan is not a big puncher and there wasn't exactly a lot of pop on those shots. Paulie was outlanding him, making him miss and look foolish and not being significantly hurt. Anywhere else in the world with non biased judges that decisino goes his way.

Paulie deserved a SD loss at worst or a draw would not of been bad. Diaz did not actually land all those power shots he got credit for but he did land most of them. But I think Paulie's run through round 9-11 when Diaz was chasing and not landing and PM was tagging him with not just jabs but mixing in right hands keeping his distance won him the fight. Diaz was never in control of the fight except maybe two rounds when he turned up the heat. But he ran into a punch and got cut and of couse as always his legs slowed down so once he cant plow into your chest he really has no plan B. But it is a fight deserving of a rematch and it was good to watch.

Not a lot of pop? Enough to contort Paulie's head all over the place and **** up his rows.

People act like it was some master boxing lesson, and it wasn't. Paulie did more circling and missing than anything else.

I liked Paulie ever since the beating he took against Cotto with that broken check bone and didn't quit up until that fight I hated him. Paulie is a real ass dude who speaks from the heart you gotta feel for the guy. I hope he gets another oppurtunity and he's right scores like 118-110 are bad for the sport and make it lose credibility. We as boxing fans need to stand united with Paulie and say enough is enough.

Yes 115-113 isn't that bad that is how I saw it. 116-112 is just one round difference. It isn't that out of line. If you give Diaz the third, which I didn't though I thought it was close, you can get to 116-112. Yes the 118-110 is out of line. Everyone needs to understand that the judges are sitting on different sides of the ring. You can't imagine how much they miss because of the ref blocking their view, the fights facing the other way etc... We have the luxury of watching the fight from a much better angle which switches immediately when the view is upstructed. I'm not defending the 118-110 but clearly Diaz landed the better shots.

I respect Paulie's post game speech. He still didn't make a fan out of me. His fight style still sucks.

The scoring could have gone either way, if it was 115-113 either guy. The point here is that boxing continuously subjects us to corrupt judges....you would have to be either BLIND or PAID OFF to score that fight 118-110. It's sickening. HBO (or ESPN or Showtime etc) should refuse to televise bouts with that judge....Van Horn...that's the only way this is going to stop. The cable channels should create their own independent panel that ranks judges then bans those who have crazy scores.
