The first time I saw Paulie fight was against N'dou when he had the crazy hairstyle. I thought he looked **** and made himself look like an idiot.

Then I saw the fight with Cotto and became a fan. Paulie crying at the end was something real. You could see how much it hurt him. The dude was fighting with a broken jaw but kept going, but losing the fight was too much for him to take.

I then saw how gracious he was after fighting Ricky Hatton. He's a classy guy. Paulie speaks from the heart. He has every right to complain after the way Golden boy ****ed him over. Put yourself in his shoes, you give up on the weight, location, gloves, ring size and purse. You're promised neutral judges but get ****ed in the end with 2 from Texas and 1 from Oklahoma. You train months for that one night. You outbox your opponent and one judge scores it 118-110. Your opponent moves on to bigger and better things while your record is tainted further. It's wrong.

Oscar complaining about the scoring at the end is an insult to Paulie and every boxing fan. Who the **** does he think we are? Pretending he was mad. He was only mad because the judge overdid it a little bit more than Oscar would have liked. Who the **** was it who selected the damn judges? My opinion of Oscar and Goldenboy has changed over time.

What Paulie said about boxing is also true. The campbell/Bradley farce, Amir Khan/Barrera, Holyfield robbed against Valuev. Hell, go back to Mosley v Mayorga. If Mosely hadn't knocked out Mayorga, Mosely still would have won the fight. What fight were those morons watching? That was a comfortable win for Mayorga, but no, even if he had survived the last round he would've been screwed by the judges. He had no chance to begin with. Fights are won and lost outside the ring.

And these decisions affect careers and lives in a big way. Maybe in the past having a loss on your record was no big deal but these days, one loss and you've been "exposed" as an overhyped bum. It makes me mad.

Never really had any time for Paulie before, but I have to say good for him for his interview right after the fight and this one. Not only did he say a lot of things that were the truth, but WHAT HE'S SAYING NEEDS TO BE SAID!

We all try to ignore the corruption and appreciate the sport anyway, and because everyone who is posting here is a hardcore fan, most of the time we manage. But decisions like that stink and it drives away fans (sometimes no matter how hardcore they are) and the average person who is not a hardcore fan. If you're someone who just watches boxing when a big fight is coming up, why would you bother continuing when you see such blatant corruption? Why would you talk it up to your friends and get them involved when you see stuff like that? Why would you want to keep following it, (which adds more money and opportunities for fighters, creates more big fights, gets boxing more attention and makes it more mainstream) or even become a more hardcore fan when you see such blatant bull****?

I love this sport and have since I was a kid in the 80s watching Tyson and Chavez tear it up, but it is never going to get better until someone acknowledges the corruption, does something about it, and starts cleaning the game up. It can't prosper the way things are now, it can only limp along. And that shortchanges both fighters and fans. **** has got to change.

clearly not a sign of a robbery....

Oddly enough if Paulie was Mexican you'd be screaming robbery.

Would he have had the honesty at that point to call it the same way as he did last night....knowing he was about to get a big money fight ?

It's disgusting that a judge totally disrespected Malignaggi yesterday, but I just hope he also sees the other side of the coin when it plays against him...

Paulie made me a fan when he fought Cotto. If the kid had any power, he'd be undefeated. I did kind of lose interest in him for ahwile, but I'm back on the Mallinagi Express, at for now. If Diaz has any balls, he'll give Paulie a rematch at MSG!

Couldn't agree more. Boxing needs more fighters like this who will speak out against the corruption that permeates this sport.

Exactly! It was that fight that Paulie won me over. He showed he had heart in that fight and showed he has major balls with this presser.:deal

Can you guys set me straight on this..I was out of town and Tivo'd the fight and it cut out in the 2nd round so I didn't get to see it. Was it a straight robbery, or was it one of those real close fights that could have went either way and the Paulie fans are calling a robbery? Post your scorecards if you can, I appreciate it.

What paulie and Oscar said was flat out what is wrong with the sport.

These Judges are getting Paid to do a Professional job and all they do is hurt our sport.

Its not the Boxers that hurt it its Judges, refs , promoters etc.

Someone i dare say this needs to take control.

If not us fans someone like Dana White. Now Dana may be a scum bag when it comes to paying his fighters but he has MMA Refing, Judging etc going in the right direction.

Also he makes the best fights he can.

Paulie was funny i thought and spoke nothing but the truth.

If this Judge gets another gig that is were i will get very angry.

Dude, MMA has bad judging as well, just as bad as boxing.
