Paulie Malignaggi responds to Devon Alexander calling him out

Gotta love Paulie, hope he gets one last big win against Alexander

thats it im rooting for paulie, i think he can take him. but he will get robbed like in hist 1st fight with baby bull.

 

Paulie is a funny dude, but I think Alexander beats him.

 

Depends on how much Paulie has in the tank. If he's still up and kicking he'll beat Alexander no problem. I haven't seen a whole Paulie fight since he beat Diaz in the rematch so I will start on his surprising stoppage. Paulie may look like a *** but he's always been tough and will fight anybody.

 

You are concerned about this looking a "bit homo", obviously forgetting this is a man who fights in drag, I mean what could be more "homo".

The thing about Alexander's wins/losses are..

Kotelnik - 99% Solid defence. You really don't get to hit this guy clean.

Bradley - Well, #1 140 pounder (arguably) and didn't exactly get pulped to bits in that.

Matthysse - Hard puncher, physically big guy, very solid chin, decent defence (?).

Malignagi... well, hands low, no power, a bit of speed..

With Alexander, he throws and throws. Whether Paulie still has his good upper-body movement is yet to be seen. It certainly didn't appear so in the Khan fight, but Alexander isn't Khan, so it's not easy to see a clear winner.

I'd see Alexander by close UD or SD.

 

That's what's up. Any guy that appreciates the fans, is usually someone I'm going to root for, especially someone as tough as Paulie.

 

I still don't think Khan gets enough credit for beating Kotelnik. He picked up a belt and shutout a very good fighter. Khan/Alexander would be interesting as both are fast, willing to fight, and not bright but Alexander doesn't deserve the chance. Khan needs to be a smarter fighter and use his advantages more and improve his footwork.

Against Paulie, he is still a bit slick and would give Devon fits. Paulie is the smarter fighter but would he be able to utilize his timing against speed is the question. If it wasn't for King and hometown decisions, Devon would've lost three times in a row....

 

You know what, me too. When I talk about him acting like a douche bag *** a lot, that is I'm sure, what the casual fan is going to think (and what I originally though when I first started seeing him).

Because now that I think about it, back when Paulie was first coming up, I didn't really like how he carried himself (mainly what he wears in ring honestly haha), but over the years, after I have seen that sometimes his toughness makes up for his lack of power, mixed with him always saying what's on people's minds, I'd say he's grown on me as well.
