Meh, Paulie is 34 & coming off a brutal beat down & will of been out the ring 16 months come fight. Am not that high on Garcia but this is one he should win without much trouble. On a side note Wow Paulie Malignaggi getting another big payday & big fight. No bashing but for me defiantley one of the most over achieving fighters off this era, gotta hand it to him do he made the most of what he had & more.
Garcia has not been the same since he was busted up by Matthysse. Garcia's referee saved him, esp. in the last round when Matthysse knocked his mouth piece out, Garcia was hurt, so the referee took his time to find the mouth piece, there is supposed to be an extra mouth piece in the corner, but Garcia needed time to recover. Herrera made a food out of Garcia and is the real champion...............
Danny was peeing blood after the matthysse not to mention deaf for two weeks in one ear I wouldn't want the rematch either lol Danny knows in a rematch matthysse would have full vision and would do more damage because of that.
Maybe that would happen. But what did happen when they fought in their prime just a year and a half ago: 115-112 Garcia Similar to Matthysse denying Provodnikov a rematch. It is natural and common for the winner of a close and/or vicious fight to shy away from a rematch while of course the loser of such a contest will crave redemption much more.
You can say what you want but at the end of the day Garcia's win was determined by that bogus knockdown in the 11th. 114-112 on two cards The Provo fight wasent even close that's why the only people calling for that rematch is his promoter and even he said ruslan would have to change his style before Allowing a rematch
I think garcia's confidence took a big hit after his last fight, It will be interesting to see how he bounces back.He will either come back better or i think he could start to fold if paulie applys enough pressure. I honestly think it will turn out to be a great fight. I know paulie's been out of the ring for a while but i think hes been working on his mental fight game and we may be surprised at his performance. OR he will be **** as **** and get ko'd in a couple of rounds.
