    It's funny, because if you rewind to a little over a year ago when they were both still light welterweights most people would have picked Vic to stop Paulie easy. :think

    Likewise if Alexander vs. Malignaggi had been made at 140lbs a couple of years ago when they first started feuding, the poll wouldn't have been even remotely close (nor would have the fight).

    The healthy new weight and the chemistry with Eric Brown can't be overstated. :deal

    Damn mad props to Paulie for taking this fight so soon. . . And he fight being a legitimate boxer. . .

    I'm guessing the fight is going down in New York? Paulie ain't going to The Lou to defend his title. . . THat's a huge plus for Paulie. . .

    I honestly like Paulie via close, but clear decision. . . He's got a much better jab that Alexander, and honestly, doesn't appear to really have that much less power. . .

    Great fight, and props once again to Paulie, as well as Devon!

    Did people go overboard (and continue to do so) with Alexander's performance against Maidana? I think so.

    What was the better welterweight win, really? Was Maidana a welterweight world titlist? Did he ever prove anything ever in his life north of 140? :think

    I totally agree. People did go overboard with Alexander's win over Maidana, also.

    As for which win was better, I'd still go with Alexander's, slightly. Despite not being a welteweight, Maidana had still proven his worth on the world stage against the best at 140, at least. 'Chenko's time whilst being a champion was hardly flattering, was it. Neither was his performance (nor was Maidana's, but still).
