I think it would be a terrible fight with more time spent leaning away and clinching than throwing punches. But yeah you'd have to think Paulie would win. His reflexes aren't as great as he thinks but they're still better than McCloskey's. That said, Malignaggi wouldn't win every round. He's far too inconsistent for that.
I say McCloskey wins this , Paulie would be facing someone with a similar style to his own but with the better punch which would be annoying
I think McCloskey nicks it. I feel that Paulie's best is behind him but McCloskey would have to work hard for it. If McCloskey beats Khan I think this would be a very good voluntary defence from a McCloskey point of view (assuming of course, that he wins and the Khan contract allows him a voluntary before a rematch). He'd be up against a good name, would get a good payday, US exposure and should win. Even if he looses against Khan I think he should look at fighting Malignaggi
Paulie doesn't even fight at 140 anymore. So this would have to be at 147 and the Magic Man's KO record at 147 is 100% so not only would McCloskey get schooled he'd get KO'd as well with Malignaggi's new power at the higher weight. :yep
McCloskey UD, why is malignaggi all of a sudden getting over rated here? only ever had a jab (and was out-jabbed by hatton, made a bit of cash on a hatton TKO in that fight), famous for getting ****ed up by cotto but not quitting, famous for getting outclassed by hatton, famous for getting outclassed by khan. two decent performances against juan diaz are the only times ive been remotely impressed with malignaggi. as for the malignaggi NOW?! LOL the malignaggi I saw fight Lozada gets ****ing killed by mccloskey.
