haha yeah sort oooooh yeahd and nodded at Diaz - for some reason i still dont get why he really didnt step on Diaz then he could have stopped him or put him down. He seemed to back off and showboat.

Guys a character and a good fighter - great analyst as well

Wish we could adopt him as a brit actually haha

Think he lacks confidence in his ability to finish someone (very understandable). Personally think he did the right thing, stayed off him and continued to outbox Diaz. Why risk getting caught when it's unlikely he'd hurt him again.

Big fan of Malignaggi, he'll be a great commentator for years as well after he's hung them up, knows boxing inside out and is the most articulate current boxer I can think of.

id love to think so, paulie is one of the sports true warriors and a real inspiration, he should be the type of fighter prospects look up to, but would the casuals get on board for an italian-american vs a ukranian? hes got a big fanbase here among boxing fans, but where would they stage it to get as many of them to the venue as possible? or they could have had a double-header with something

Yer I caught it last night. I can remember staying up to watch this live, it looked dated haha it was only 6 years ago! This was the first time I had seen clips of this since then.

I didn't give him a prayer at the start of the fight but he was actually out boxing Cotto for periods of that fight. But his hard work would be un done by Cotto landing a thudding punch which rallyed the pro Puerto Rican crowd and probably swayed the judges more. But being fair I had it around the same what they had it, Jim Watt had Cotto by a point!

Paulie showed a lot of heart and a fanastic chin in that fight and proved he belonged to the elite.

  9. The same.

He has really won me over the last few years. He has a lot of skill but he can also fight when he has to. His fights with Juan Diaz were both fantastic performances. The only thing he lacks is power. He has everything else.
