Ward isn't a runner he can fight at all ranges but he's a terror on the inside and he fights guys on the inside and abuses them.:deal How much running did Ward do against Barrera? I think it's fair to have Ward as top 3 p4p. You can shuffle the 3 any way you want but the names should be Kovalev Ward Gonzales.

Wlad is more acomplished but his lackluster performance against Fury bumped Wlad off the list. If he knocks Fury out in the rematch we could look the other way and say he wasn't mentally there due to his nutcase wife.

 

No they literally said they needed him to fight Kovalev if he wants to be signed.

 

How is that a problem? Sure you can make cases for Rigo or Chocolatito, but a better one for Ward. He hasn't shown weaknesses, can box on the inside or outside, has a great boxing mind and can adjust to beat any style. If Kovalev beats him he's number 1, and not just on 'resume' but for being able the fighter who looks more unbeatable than anyone in the world.

 

If Kovalev beats Ward, he will be #1. Golovkin and Gonzalez are #2,3 in any order. Rigo is not in top 5.

 

Honestly Chocolatito failed to impress on HBO last time out, the verdict is still out on him. I didn't see the mastery of skills on display and if he's p4p he'll have no problem moving up, beating bigger fighters. Ward is moving up to fight Kovalev, I have him winning relatively easy, he'd be my pick for P4P but has to do the deed first, earn it, which should not be a problem in my eyes.
