Paulie was the same after Cotto...for two fights. He showed no ill effects against Cherry and N'Dou in their first match. Though those fights seemed to be his peak. Since then, he's looked like **** against Ngoudjo and N'Dou, arguably losing both fights. I don't think it was the Cotto fight that affected him, but more so his chronic hand injuries. His right hand is basically shot and he has been reduced to a one handed fighter because of it. Which is not a good thing when you never had any serious offensive weapons to begin with. The Paulie Cotto fought actually let his hands go and put together decent combinations. Last night, Paulie virtually threw no shots other than jabs with a rare left hook and even rarer right hand. I'm sure a Timothy Bradley, Victor Ortiz, or even a Kendall Holt would have beaten Paulie last night. But that's not to knock Hatton. He did what he had to do with what was in front of him.

If anything Paulie has improved since the Cotto fight but he was completely outclassed just like he was against Cotto. He would have been KO'd by Cotto if it hasn't been for Cotto being weight drained. Hatton is the best fighter at 140 lbs no doubt.

You don't know what you're talking about. Paulie actually looked really good in that first N'Dou fight. However, he's simply not that good of a fighter. Cotto did not ruin him.

So many people hate the British fighters, and I don't understand why. I haven't seen the fight yet, but as usual people can't stand when there guy loses and its nothing but excuses from here on out.

Hatton won and that's all there is to it.

Bad attempt to discredit Hatton. I was rooting for Paulie to win and I believe that he fought a very tentative fight. He seemed scared and didn't seem to box as he normally does, whether it was more of what Hatton did or more of what Paulie didn't do it doesn't matter now. Good win for Hatton. Don't discredit his win.

He was never that good anyway.

He was poor pre-Cotto and poor afterwards.

Two step-ups in class = two beatdowns.

Simply a B- level fighter, no more, no less :good

I dont think so, everyone knew Hatton is a bigger puncher..plus paulie hurt his hand during the fight...Besides ricky got koed last year but this time he had better preparation.

 Nah.....Paulie just didn't have an answer for hatton's improved style. He still gave Hatton a little trouble but his lack of power and use of only the jab and occasioanl right was easy for Ricky to figure out. Don't claim that Paulie only loss b/c of his loss to Cotto! Get a grip bro....I knew Hatton would win in similar fashion to how Cotto did it....and it played out that way only that Hatton was more dominant.
