What´s your opinion on the guy ? Paulão Filho was always one of my favorite fighters from PRIDE, impressive grappler with some decent hands with some power in it.....a black belt from the Legendary Carlson Gracie... He wasn´t tall but he was a massive enough MW, very strong and it was a shame that some personal problems ****ed up with him badly! Let´s discuss Paulão is his Prime ! At his best....tell me how do you see him as a fighter ? A waste of talent ? Overhyped and just a good fighter ? Not sure how hyped he was outside Brazil, but around here he was seriously considered the next big thing..... IMO he was incredible in PRIDE, and was a serious opponent even for Anderson a bit later (2006-2007), I thought at the time that he would be the best pick out of the bunch to beat Spider.... Had talent but his talent was side by side with his ped's . Kinda like Mark Kerr, Kerr with his helpers was on top of his game but without it he lost his edge mentally and physically.
on his peds he reminds me of a good palahares but since he stop doping he doesn't have his edge anymore
