Ambunda should trow '' being cautious " out the window from next round on if he wants to have a chance at winning this.
Yeah, but how much fuel does Kameda have in his tank? If he slows down, it might get interesting...and some of those air-mail body shots are scoring for Ambunda...
Round 6 Ambunda is jabbing Kameda into a corner. He finally walks right into him and the ref drags them out to center to reset. Straight high jabs by Ambunda, picked off by quick downward chops of Kameda's left glove before snapping it back up into position. Kameda is opening up as he circles Ambunda now, hooking the body as he pivots. Lead jab and double hook downstairs by Kameda, smoothly executed. Ambunda is lunging in with those hard straight right hands to the body again, but Kameda has scouted them and made adjustments - jumping diagonally backward and to either side when he sees them coming. Kameda darts in with a right hand to the body. Ambunda down! Ruled a slip? :huh May have simply been his balance/feet getting crossed up, but it did seem like Kameda tapped him with something. 10-9 Kameda 57-57
Round 7 Ambunda is blocking jabs, squatting and putting his weight on the back foot, then sliding the front in toward it, melting away from Ambunda's high jabs and basement rights. Kameda darts in with slingshot rights to the neck and facade of Ambunda, keeping it poised up by his cheek between tosses. Kameda is boxing well from outside, playing matador and turning and sticking the bull. Ambunda leads with a short overhand right and is left out of position with his back arched as Kameda circles left and pops a flurry at his head. 10-9 Kameda 67-66 Kameda
I noticed the quick hooking flurries, just wasn't sure they were landing all that well... That was the last time Ambunda seemed to have a consistent home for the right downstairs - although less so in 5 than in 1-4...
Round 8 Ambunda is jabbing up high and then twisting himself in with roundhouse rights to the body, spinning himself up off his feet. Kameda just keeps a cautious distance instead of exploiting these errors. Kameda is making Ambunda miss everything simply by moving in reverse and patiently waiting instead of attacking every time he could possibly counter - pulling lots of punches midway. 1-2 by Kameda. Ambunda keeps marching forward, goal posts up, looking to ram into Kameda. Shove-off by Kameda, with a body-head combo from mid-range once he jumps out while Ambunda misses a right. 10-9 Kameda 77-75 Kameda
Curious. The eighth was a really nice round for Kameda, yet TBS chooses Ambunda planting a flush jab on his chin and making him blink as their slow-motion replay highlight. :think
Felt Kameda took parts of the 8th round off, but probably turned it around in the last minute. 78-74 Kameda.
Round 9 Ambunda is stepping in and then quickly leaning back with his arms laid up across his chest and face as Kameda pauses his backtracking to lunge in and flash the left jab. Ambunda keeps resuming his pursuit only to find Kameda well beyond reach. When Ambunda gets near him, more guard-dog jabs, sometimes tripled. Ambunda loads up and bowls in a long right to the body. Kameda dodges by sucking in his gut, bending his back and hopping to his left. Pause, they're fixing tape on Kameda's glove. Time in. Ambunda follows Kameda around the ring. Overhand right by Ambunda, half-thrown when the bell rings and falling short anyway. 10-9 Kameda 87-84 Kameda
