Pavilk fight

After watching Williams fight against Martinez I think hes been severely oversetimated by some, myself included.

While its great to throw 100 punches a round it also helps to land some.

 

Also its great to throw 100 per round, but those pitter patter punches wont hurt any natural middleweight...pavlik...sturm etc

 

Martinez is a great fighter and a handful for anyone, hes recieved some shitty decisions (cintron) and for my money won the fight but williams wasn't exposed or anything like "boxing fans" love to spout about fighters.

 

Not exposed, just overestimated.

I count myself guilty of it. I couldn't see past the long reach and the workrate, but Martinez made him look very ordinary at times.

 

needs to be a rematch

 

Heres hoping, but the Williams camp don't seem to be in any hurry for one.

 

martinez vs matirosyan is being touted as a possibility on another 'scene' or chavez jr but apparently martinez doesn't reckon chavez jr wants any part of him

 

Wouldn't think he would either, Jr is quite content to keep feeding on the corpses they present him.

Martinez could get arrested for assault if they ever met.

 

Martinez and Quintana are similar fighters in some ways. It appears to be a case of Martinez being underestimated by a lot of fans IMO. I think he'd do just as well against Pavlik. There'll be a rematch between PWill and Martinez for sure.
