honestly, with this guys power, there is only one man at that weight i can see givin him problems. that man is winky wright.

every other middleweight is too willing to take punches.

abraham would've been interestin but guess we gotta wait for pavlick to move up to see that fight

    lol.

winky hasn't won a fight for over three years. he's as relevant as VHS right now.

LMFAO post of the day goes to you!

Paul Williams will beat Pavlik at MW if/when they fight! Plain & simple!

I don't know what a Pavlick is but I do know that Winky Wright is the best high profile match-up for Kelly Pavlik, the Middleweight Champion.

You beat KP by getting in and out, not by standing in front of him, unless you have Arthur Abraham's power.

    Pavlik beats Winky by stoppage.

Pdub has turned down a record payday for this fight. Won't happen. They know. :yep

Winky? Please. If he couldn't get Pdub's respect Pavlik would probably be able to stop him.

Pavlik stops Paul Williams. I have just changed my mind after reading itrymarirti's post in the other Pavlik thread.

    Thank you itrymariti.

in all honesty, pav is fighting his toughest fight at 160 in his next bout. its also the fight w/ the lowest reward imo but whatever.

this version of winky isnt mobile enough. throw at pav when he's not set and don't be there when he is. winky can't do that anymore from what i've seen. big winky fan and always have been. this would have been a very interesting fight circa taylor/tito stage of winky's career.

Winky quite a few years back, maybe. But I doubt he could do it now.

Winky landed flush against Paul Williams and couldn't buy a blink. I think that is where he started to give up. You land flush against Pavlik and he he doesn't blink you will see a grin grow across Kelly's face as he prepares for the beginning of the end..

There was a time when Pavlik/Winky was THE FIGHT that I most wanted to see. Give me Winky from the Taylor fight, and Pavlik at his best, and brothers, you got a fight on your hands. An offensive monster verses one of the cagiest and toughest guys in the sport. Unfortunately Winky Wright never wanted any part of Kelly Pavlik. He's turned down at least 3 good offers.

Now, about Pavlik at 160 in general, I really wish he would forget about moving up. There are some really good prospects and young contenders coming up, and KP is in a perfect postion to become the expererienced, veteran, champion who just keeps knocking out all comers. I think he should stay at 160 as long as he can make weight without risking his health. Historically speaking middleweight has always been the second most prestigious division, and at 160 Pavlik has the potential to earn a spot along side Monzon, Haglar, and Hopkins.

Not to be a ***** but why is it that at least half the threads on Pavlik have his name misspelled in the thread title?
