Pavlick is over rated!

The original post is absolute horse****!!Losing every round to Taylor??:-( Someone needs an eye exam:yep There is no reason to trash Pavlik who just won the Championship and is slated to rematch it.

Pavlik and Dawson??I believe that Dawson is more over rated than Pavlik.and Not real sure why the comparison but clearly Pavlik is the 160 champ while Dawson's still trying to work his way up and I havent seen anything spectacular yet from him. If it were a future match up? I'll take pavlik.

 

Pavlik is only the clear 160 champ because there was a clear champ to beat. There isn't one at 175. We have 5 seperate champions there, including a Ring champ and a Lineal champ who hasn't fought a top 10 contender since winning that title. Point is, him being the clear champ at 160 doesn't really equate to him being better than Dawson. Dawson not being THE champ at LHW isn't on him at this point.

Dawson is clearly more skilled than Pavlik, and unless Pavlik can land a big punch and stop him, he isn't going to be able to box Dawson.

 

Yes KG the "title" situation is a mess at 75 but I questioned why anyone could throw out the "over rated" ****? Pavlik beat the champ and is rematching. It would be similar to Dawson beating Hops and suddenly he's over rated? I'm aware that YOU didnt say that, but it seems ridiculous to me either way.

As for Dawson clearly being more skilled?? I'm gonna respectfully disagree there:yep IMO, people are perhaps mixing skill and style a little here. Pavlik showed pretty damn good skill vs Taylor and SUPERIOR POWER:good I highly doubt that Dawson "out boxing" him would happen:nono Pavlik uses his jab, comes forward, and turns out lights:yep IMO, Dawson would get caught backpedaling, and that would be all she wrote. I gurantee that if Adamek had Dawson partying on ***** street?Check the legs, not the lips, Pavlik sends him night night!!

Perhaps one day, it'll be an entertainig match up, yet we have a ways to go before that becomes real.

 

Dawson is the one who's overrated if he cant beat Pavlik at this point. Yeah, Pavlik can hit but Dawson is 15 lbs bigger and faster and that should count for something.

 

First to beat Taylor & by KO no less. Hardly over rated....................:-(

Most people were split on the scoring, ive read lots of posts for or against the scoring. Either way, most people said Taylor was garbage before the fight, now they act like Pavlik is so great for beating him. Go figure. :thumbsup

 

Pav licks....ha, ha, ha..before I begin, let me just say that Dawson would OBLITATE Pav licks...Dawson is faster, counter-puncher, has defense (taught by Floyd Mayweather Sr no less), moves his head, better footwork and has power.

Here the story:
Casper is from Youngtown, Ohio...a place where they cry about life being hard instead of doing something about it.This guy that sweeps peoples driveways Jack Lowe decided to train Pav licks to be a boxer so Licks bean to beat up on lesser opponents in the amateurs to hide the fact that he can't box. In the amateur final, Pav lick was given the name Casper by his fellow boxers because he would run out of the gym after getting his ass whipped!!

So anyway Casper came face to face with Jermaine Taylor...the winner of this fight is headed to a 7 figure payday, lucrative HBO contract...the other back to the saw mills to learn how to dust crops.....needless to say, Casper was beaten mainly because of Loews ineptness as a coach and Pav licks inability to box. Loew went back to sweeping driveways while his managers C. Duncan (who is one of the WORST manager in boxing bar none) and M. Pav licks Sr started whoring Pav licks services to promoters.

Arum pick up Pav lick, signed this useless Ohioian him a steady diet of Ecuardorian to pad his record and up his KO % to 90. Along the way, Pav lick was introduced to a place he will become familar with......THE CANVAS, it a place Casper has stock in and visits frequently.

He was first move into his new home by Mathias Bedberdick (side note-Bedberdick is a journeymen) this scared Arum who told Duncan the crook and his meathead father "Keep Pav licks away from boxers, Loew is worthless as a trainer, let keep the Latino express rolling" and so his diet continue until finally a Latino who was tired of Casper up his KO % at the expense of his people decided to make a stand...Fulgencio Zuniga returned Pav licks to the place he has stocks and mutual bonds in...the canvas. (side note- Zuniga is a journeymen) and Bronco McKart decided he want in on the fun.

At this point Pav licks has been knockdown 3 times by opponent Jermaine Taylor would have blown through and so Pav licks beat Miranda to get a shoot at Taylor.

Facts about Taylor-Pav licks
-Compubox has Taylor throwing more punches then Pav licks
- Taylor won the first round on all three OFFICIAL SCORECARDS

One thing about this fight that you people must realized....No matter if you are a Pav licks hater, Pav licks dickrider, or just neutral..the only scorecard that will ever matter in this fight is the OFFICIAL SCORECARD from the three judges appointed by the WBC, WBO & the New Jersey Athletic Commission...no one else on this board is a judge and therefore our scorecards and/or opinion about the scoring of the fight means nothing.
Taylor drops Pav licks in the 2nd round and had him doing the Macreana all over the ring.

Now Taylor is an idiot because a) no uppercuts (a punch he has used well b) no distance. So up until the 7th round, Taylor was outboxing Pav licks (proof is in the wide scorecards from the OFFICIAL..don't forget the word OFFICIAL judges scoring) and Pav licks caught Taylor (who left was low..WHY? I don't know) with a right and sent him back (Taylor never dropped unlike Pav lick stuff with fluff chin ass did in the 2nd) in the rope where the ref didn't count and stop the fight, at this point Taylor slump down in the corner.

Now all of Pav licks fans are saying he can beat every fighter because he hits so hard...Dawson argument is laughable becasue Dawson has been dropped and has gotten up...(chin is no better then Pav licks) so what separates them....SKILLS!!!

Dawson can box, Pav licks cannot. He sucks and we will find out now that his steady diet of boricua is over.
Oh guys, just for a laugh, do you believe that Arum wanted Casper 1st title defense to be against the DUD...I know, I know it's funny....Taylor 1st, 2nd, & 3rd title defense was against the elite competition (2 of them P4Per).

Pav licks story is pretty pathetic but then again he will always have his dickriding fans who think he can beat everybody just by hitting them....what happens 1 day when Casper hits his opponent and they don't go nowhere....he doesn't have a plan B because he can't box and Loew is useless!!!

It is kind of ******ed in a corky sort of way to say Pavlik is overrated. He is what he is. A tough ass lethal puncher that is not going to go away. He likes contact and if you hit him with power shots he only fights harder. He is the definition of a FIGHTER. I cant take anything away from him as he is the most "Bad Ass" in the game now. The dude was laughing in his corner that he got caught sticking his tongue out. I knew after JT did not finish him and the ref did not jump in that Pavlik was going to knock JT out. (you can go to the Rd by Rd thread if you dont believe me as I stayed home for that fight that I had to sell my tickets for) It takes every ounce of dignity in me not to cry for missing that fight live.:sad2 :sad2

I think Dawson is highly skilled, while Pavlik reminds me very much of Trinidad in that he is skilled at what he does, but not much variety. Dawson has a good jab, punches straight, throws short hooks and circles alot.

I don't think Dawson was hurt, not because he said he wasn't but because he fought back. He didn't have to cover up for a minute. I do think he was stunned, but not hurt. I consider what happened to Pavlik "hurt" and perhaps I just use a variety of levels to describe how a fighter looks after a KD. I would take Dawson by UD, but this fight is a long ways off.

I wouldn't call Pavlik overrated by most. I think the guy who called him the most devastating puncher of the lasr 20 yrs is overrating him based on what we have in front of us right now.

 

perfume... i agree that dawson would beat pavlik but honestly did you watch taylor-pavlik fight????Taylor was saved by the ref, what do you think would have happened to Taylor if he had gotten up... brain damage lol. Pavlik has great power and decent skills. Let the man prove he is the man in the upcoming months dam he just won the championship. O yea and Casper cleaned the floor with your conventional "dark skinned fighter" and would do so with any other at mw so you are either just ignorant or have written one of the dumbest posts i have ever read.

 

At this point, I dont see any guy from 160-175 beating Dawson. None, nada, zilch, not happening.
