Pavlik takes it, just like he'd take any other matchup with Abraham. I've been saying forever now that Pavlik is just a bad style matchup for Abraham.

    :good

@ 168, 164 catchweight, or even with Pavlik cutting down to middle - I just don't see Abraham winning.

Pavlik's going to feast on anyone that comes right at him like that, Abraham is someone he could just tee off on.

Kelly vs AA was a dream fight acouple yrs ago. How the mighty have fallen! Still an interesting scrap tho, but isnt Pavlik moving up to 168 and AA going down to 160? lol

Some people really need to drop the bull****, and analyze Pavlik and Abraham. If that fight had happened back in 2007-2008 it would not have been the FOTY type fight so many claimed it would have been. It would have been 7 or 8 rounds of Pavlik treating Abraham worse than Froch did, and then he would drive AA back into a corner and suck the life out of him. Now days it would be even less competitive.

During all the KP/AA discussions that went on back in 2007-2008 I believe you were one of about 6-8 people who did an outstanding job of describing Froch/Abraham way ahead of time. There were several of us who now seem almost prophetic if you just replace KP with Carl.

I think Abraham has pretty much lost all desire to train hard and work through problems that arise in fights. Unfortunately his trainer Ulli Wegner is a good motivational speaker but he sucks at coming up with gameplans, including having a plan b when things don't work out as planned.

I would still root for Abraham, but I think that Kelly should win a UD 75% of the time. Still would love to see the bout :) Two fallen former middleweight stars at it again. Let's make it a loser leaves town match!

We all know Pavlik relentless ducked Abraham when they were both at middleweight. He probably knew something we didn't. Abraham TKO11 Pavlik

Although the reputation of both has fallen dramatically in recent times, I would really love to see this fight. I would have to lean towards Pavlik but, then again, he did look pretty horrible in his last fight, so maybe Abe could blast him out of there.

"We all know?" Don't assume people will agree with revisionist history no matter how popular agreement is. For over a year there were serious scheduling problems with a Pavlik/Abraham fight. A series of mandatory defenses, and the timing of those defenses, caused the problems. Both men never had a clear schedule at the same time.

The one time when it LOOKED like both men did have open schedules, and the fight could be made, Abraham demanded an unconditional $2 million dollar guarantee, and then Sauerland left the negotiating table never to return. About 2 or 3 days later Showtime announced the Super Six.

Sauerland put the European portion of the S-6 together before Showtime and Sauerland put the American portion together. In other words, AA was already committed to the S-6 while Pavlik thought they were bargaining in good faith.

Next up the S-6 started, and the very first fight featured Arthur Abraham fighting Jermain Taylor; a man who lost two fights to Pavlik in to different divisions. Why didn't Showtime/Sauerland invite Pavlik and make Pavlik/Abraham the opening fight? I'll tell ya why! In spite of all his trash talk Sauerland never wanted Abraham anywhere near Pavlik. That's history, and a thousand posts a day won't change it!

Nah. Bhop 'laid the blueprint'. No doubt in my mind that it would be easy enough for AA to follow it. If it's in Germany he can even arrange for the bout of bronchitis too....

Pavlik should pay you for all this cocksucking man. Even his father doesn't defend him like you do.
Everyone knows PAvlik ducked AA, period.

Oh and, IF what you say is true and AA and Sauerland left the table, wasn't it rather because Pavlik lost previously against a certain old grandpa ? You seem to forget that, don't you ? :hey

You can't "just" replace Pavlik with Froch. One is a fighter who has a clearly limited, predictable style and the other is bigger, stronger, tougher, unorthodox and has every punch in the book. Pavlik and Froch are nothing alike.

They far more a like than you let on. Although Pavlik's punch technic, hand speed, and defense are obviously superior, and you have to be half ****ing blind if you think there's a big size difference.
