Theres no doubt that martinez gets knocked out badly in this one. I just wonder what excuses the paul huggers will make when Pavlik stands center ring AGAIN and calls out Williams.:think Come on guys, start thinking of an excuse, you have about a month left.

By the way--at least Pavlik is fighting---where on earth has Paul been??

Pavlik sounds mentally ready. All you can say is that Pav is bringing WAR. Marty is in some trouble in a bad way.

154 is super weak.... probably one of the worse divisions in boxing.. theres no point in even staying in that division

 

I honestly wish Pavlik would just not worry about Paul Williams' camp and just focus on taking care of business against Martinez.

Super weak in terms of money? yes, but who else is there at 160lbs that brings the kind of money Paul is demanding?

154lbs has Dzinziruk, Martinez, Cintron, Foreman, Erislandy Lara(whos coming up), Kirkland who is coming back.

So really, 154lbs is stronger than 160 for the coming year or two. But then again, Paul only wants big name fights, even though he's not made himself deserving of superfights. There's a reason he's fighting Kermit Cintron and Martinez is fighting Pavlik. :deal

 

One good shot from Citron will cool the Williams/Pavlik talk. I have a feeling we have already gotten as close to this fight happenning as it will.

Martinez clearly beat Paul Williams, and is the worthy challenger of Pavliks belts right now. Although Martinez clearly isn't a solid 160lbs'er.

 

Sure, but it makes you look like a dumbass if you lose. I honestly don't remember if what the one poster said was true about wanting to KO Hopkins to shut up Calzaghe's camp but if it is true...then if he publicly said anything about it it doesn't look great. Not comparing the two, but Junior freaking Witter made the same mistake...twice! Against Timothy Bradley he was worried about Hatton. Against Alexander he was worried about another possible opponent, got his ass kicked both times. I'm not saying Paul won't be on his mind but what's the point of talking to the press about it? Just beat the crap out of Martinez and things will take care of things for themselves.
