Pavlik: “By beating the crap out of (Martinez), we’ll silence the Williams camp,”

I've got a question well not to hermit cause he has me on ignored but if Pavlik was forced to fight in which his hand is still not healing, how in the world Pavlik and his team wants to fight Williams on that same day if Pavlik not 100 percent? Didn't Jack made it clearly he doesn't want Pavlik to fight Williams if Pavlik not 100 percent?

 

i don't get into who is ducking or not ducking who. i never have. but the fight with williams wasnt happening, after which kelly is told if he doesnt fight he's stripped. in fact, kelly couldnt completely make a fist until about 4 weeks before the espino fight and even then it wasnt 100%. the espino fight was brought to kelly three days before he said make it.

take that for what its worth. i'm not assigning blame or pointing fingers.

espino could be beat w/ one hand. hence the fight. kelly said if it were up to him he wouldnt have fought until the new year (this year) b/c of the hand.

 

So is that mean Pavlik is lying about wanting to fight Williams on the same date that his hand is not even close to 100 percent?

 

I never said it was a bad strategy, I'd only be worried because this is where Jack Loews gameplans begin and end. Maybe if he's feeling fancy he'll get Pavlik to go southpaw and flick out the jab.

 

as it turns out the fight should never have been signed the second time. he's told the staph is gone but the hand was still ****ed up and the rehab didnt progress as quickly as they would have liked.

lying about wanting to? no. jumping the gun on saying physically able to? turns out it was.

Jesus, who cares who's ducking who? Maybe they'll fight, maybe they won't. Nothing we argue about here is going to affect it. They're both great fighters and it'll be a good fight if it happens. If it doesn't, we'll live.

If Pavlik, doesn't watch out he is going to get the crap beat out of him. This is no Gary Lockett or Miguel Espino, Martinez is a top 20 fighter pound4pound, and has all the tools to make Pavlik look like a fool. This is definitely Pavlik's first real challenge in a long time, like 1 1/2 years ago when he got taken to school by the "Old Master" Hopkins.
