I thought Abraham wanted to come to the states and make a name? You know something I don't?

It amazes me how people expect an easy fight for Calzaghe for real... 36 year olders Casamayor and Campbell ( with J D Jackson in his corner) did exactly what Hopkins does and broke young undefeated swarmers Michael Katsidis and Juan Diaz. Campbell, in particular, is a gym rat, a guetto product and a grandpa and used all his experience to take away punching room to wild aggressor "Baby Bull", turn and counter, lean his head on him ( 1st round) and cut him bad with a left hook when they were locked ( sixth round) like experienced fighters do... And you are still expecting Calzaghe to break BERNARD HOPKINS in his first fight in Vegas? That's it, this is all hype and I never had a doubt about it being just hype...

AA would have no reason to come to the States if it wasn't for Pavlik and his World Middleweight Championship. Same thing as Hopkins-Calzaghe, Calzaghe travelled to the States because he wanted Hopkins and he wouldn't come to Europe. But answering to the direct question, I guess I know nothing more than you do... Just wonder why would AA travel to the States now if he has never needed to leave Germany. Maybe Pavlik doesn't have any plans to travel and meet him?

I was under the impression is was all about money. Pavlik isn't where he should be as a draw yet. Originally they were talking about Abraham on one of his undercards to drum up interest in the match. I think both want the fight and both want it to be for big bucks too.

Pavlik vs Calzaghe is far better matchup than over hyped Kesslervs Calzaghe.

I fancy Pavlik to beat Calzaghe if it was in the US, this kid has real balls.

Pavlik must have made good money with Taylor already. Abraham needs Pavlik more than Pavlik needs him, HBO and Top Rank should play a strong part in this - maybe that's why AA needs to go to the States. I totally agree that it would be a very good payday for both if it's wisely build up. Miranda and Calzaghe names should not help to build up a AA-KP fight but AA and KP can't just talk about each other in the meantime.

Pavlik will be TKO´d in this fight. I have no doubt whatsoever.

Calzaghe is stylistically ALL wrong for Pavlik and furthermore Pavliks chin isnt good enough to last the whole fight. Pavlik is a SLOW powerpuncher with NO defence and he should not take the fight with Joe.

Joe wins by TKO from the 3rd to the 8th depending on how Calzaghe performs on the night.

    Ohh, please just **** off.

Pavlik is SLOOOOOOOOW compared to Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine and Taylor. Hes not normal. His defence is normal AT BEST.

By the time Pavlik gets to Winky or Calzaghe, both of them will have lost some more speed. I wouldn't count him out of either fight just yet. Most fighters don't age like Hopkins.

Hell of an accomplishment for a guy with those attributes to UD 12 US Bronze Medalist Jermain Taylor, who holds 2 UD's over Calzaghe's current opponent (BHOP) and a draw with master boxer Winky Wright, huh??

Good points. Pavlik would terrorize slappy joe. Everytime he comes rushing in with his head down swinging wild Pavlik would beat the living **** right out of slappy. This ain't the Robo-Dane who said of Calzaghe, "He ruined my boxing." This is Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik who would force Slappy Joe into a war of attrition and pound the **** right out of him. Joe's fans do not understand this, but joe does! That's why he went down to the nursing home and picked a fight with BHop AFTER he called Kelly out!

    Im not.

I like Pavlik and his style but you have to admit that Pavlik is a slow middleweight with a leaky defence who just happens to be EXTREMELY effective at what hes good at; Pressure, stamina and powerpunching. And finally, finishing the job.

But try to compare his fights with fights of Calzaghe, Mundine, Kessler. You will see the difference very clearly.
