Abuse as a youth has left my brain severely miss wired. But to get back on topic, jsimps thinks this will happen in June.:deal I don't see Rubio as much more that a speed bump. I've watched his last fight several times. It will be an interesting comparison IF AA does indeed take Ornales.
:shock::shock: Bring that ****!!! Unlike, ahem, Boo, we'll be able to see first hand just how much fire got lit under the ass of our hero for having to lose one.
I'll be watching on my 60" big screen with surround sound. Hold up a sign or something. Or, should I just look for the hillbilly with a catchers mit and a shotgun:hey
I know it won't be your first choice, but I think it is entirely possible that Lockett's stock goes up after this one. As many times as I've watched Rubio/Ornales I agree with Rubio's trainer when he said "You are boring the people". Not his fault though. Those two just looked a full step below Pavlik in all areas. Hard to judge the chin factor since neither guy seemed to be getting off really snappy punches.
So Rubio has NOTHING to keep Pavlik off of him? I think the last time Kelly fought in Ytown his opponent got an extended stay in one of our finer, more costly establishments. I hope Rubio likes the accomodations.
I think Kelly would be cautious of Abraham's power and try to box a bit more early on, but once he finds out that he is at a disadvantage technically i feel he will try to press the fight more, which would be taking a huge risk and could very well give him a knockout loss. I like Pavlik, but i just don't like his chances against a complete boxer and huge puncher such as Abraham and his defense is not where it should be.
Just don't know about the shot gun. Look for a screaming mother ****er with his new Pavlik hat and shirt, with a tattoo of a pipe wrench covering 60% of his right arm. I'm only six seats out, so I thought about some kind of "What up, ESB" type of sign to try and show.
:think fine point. Will have to ponder how to get the camera to come my way atleast once. What you think Boo? I'll figure something out.:yep
disadvantage technically atsch Edison Miranda is Arthur's best win. Mranda is not top 3 on Pavlik's resume'. Abraham is scheduled to fight in March. According to Tom Tocca, who seems to have an inside track to the Abraham camp, the most likely opponent is Enrique Ornelas. This is a guy with recent losses to McKart and Rubio. I will however give credit where it is due. Ornelas is taller and has a higher KO ratio than most of Arthur's previous opponents. However, it's a long damn ways from Ornales to Pavlik.
Something to think about for the Pavlikatos: http://queensberry-rules.com/2009/01/but-kelly-pavlik-did-lose-to-bernard-hopkins-and-he-could-learn-from-it-if-he-acknowledged-it.html
The only thing new in that article Tom is its lack of objectivity, or balance of any kind. Pavlik and Leow have both made comments about going back to the drawing board and getting back to basics. If we combined those comments with Leow's comment that KP will be "more of a boxer now," it's obvious that they realize KP needs to make some changes in his game. Leow has been training Pavlik since he was 9 years old. As a young amature he was not a KO artist. He went 89-9 and won multiple national titles on boxing skills, not KO power. When they speak of getting back to the basics, and Kelly being more of a boxer now, I doubt if they are saying, 'we're not changing anything.' That's what the article implies, but the article clearly demonstrates either a lack of objectivity, or a lack of research. There certainly isn't anything new or original in it.
