Kessler beats both unless he gets knocked out, and either man is certainly capable of stopping him. Kessler/Pavlik depends a lot on how Kelly went about moving up. KP has fought every where from 154 to 170. He has been division hopping his whole career. After the Hopkins debacle I don't think we'll see that anymore. When he moves to 168, I think he'll do it the right way. If that were the case, Pavlik/Kessler would be one helluva a fight. Unless Arthur got real lucky Kessler would beat him by UD 8-4, 9-3, something like that. I can't wait for Pavlik/Abraham to happen. How anyone can watch film of these two guys and come away thinking AA wins is beyond me. Pavlik is a stylisitic nightmare for Abraham. And please don't parrot that **** about how Arthur "eats come forward fighters." Arthurs best opponent was Miranda, and he had to fight him twice. The pre-pavlik version made AA look like something out of a Dean Coontz novel. The post pavlik version got knocked out. That's not a coincidence. Arthur has a punchers chance at best, but AA is a helluva puncher, so he could get lucky, but do not expect that. When Arthur reaches with his jab to the body and sticks his head WAY the **** out there, Pavlik hammers him with a right hand. When AA goes into his shell his short little arms do not cover his body, KP nails him with a lead right up under his left elbow. When AA is under pressure he retreats to the ropes or a corner. What happens to guys who run to the ropes against Pav? Pavlik KO8 Abraham.
Kessler UD Pavlik (close) Kessler UD Abraham (wide) Pavlik UD Abraham (wide) But damn, Abraham could KO Pavlik too. He can't win a decision but he can KO him, tough to call.
Yep -- That's the scary part about AA -- he does not need to break a guy down over a few rounds. He just needs to land his best right a couple of times, and its nighty night!
Dude seriously, are you related to Pavlik or just his lover?! Or are you just a Euro-Hater?! You write the same **** over and over again everytime someone mentions Pavlik. First of all, Kessler would school him.Anywhere, anytime in every dimension...Kessler is like a bigger and and better version of Pavlik.A helluva fight at 168 between those two?! Please...Kessler would toy with him! I like how you try to give Pavlik credit for AA´s win over Miranda in the rematch.."That´s not a coincidence"...LMAO! Let me guess when AA knocks your boy Pavlik out cold in the 6th round Hopkins deserves all the credit? I mean, that´s how it goes in your world, right? Come on, you can do better than that!
Pavlik beats both. Kessler has no where near the athleticism of Jermaine Taylor. He'd stand right in front of Pavlik and get tagged. So would Abraham. Neither have the ring smarts or adaptability to do what Hopkins did. Nor do they have a jab as fast as Taylors. I pick Taylor to beat Kessler aswell. So there is no doubt in my mind Pavlik would beat him. Taylor is a better win then anything on Kesslers resume.
kessler is the better boxer of them all.So i would expekt kessler to KO K elly pavlik, just as taylor nearly did the first time.AA i think kessler would beat by UD,but as other have mention,ONLY if he don´t get hit by AA KOpower shots. But it could be great fights both of them.
You really shouldn´t talk about ring smarts or adaptability when Pavlik is involved in any kind.It was him who looked like a lost little child without a clue how to adapt against Hopkins... Kessler needs to adapt to Pavlik?! If Kessler just fights like Kessler Pavlik doesn´t have a chance.Kessler doesn´t need to become Einstein in the ring... As for AA...I´m sure AA won´t fight like he did in his rematch to Miranda.Unlike Kessler he will adapt to Pavlik´s style.Maybe even surprise him with a more offensive strategy from the start...and we all know how Pavlik adapts to something unexpected.Out of those three, Pavlik is the most one-dimensional...
He's fought alot of bums and B level fighter. The only A level fighter he fought was calzaghe and he got dominated. Even landed his so called knock out shots square on Calzaghe's chin and didnt do a thing. Hell even Hopkins and Roy were able to drop Calzaghe. Calzaghe was never stunned fighting Kessler. Pavlik beat Taylor twice. I have seen nothing from Kessler that shows him to be superior.
Exactly. And unlike Kessler Pavlik was fighting 15lbs above his natural weight. Hopkins would do the same to Kessler.
Fighting middleweights won't prove much for Kessler. Still, these guys are better than anyone hes ever beaten. Abraham is such a plodder, but he does have a big punch so who knows.
Kessler and Taylor are probably the 2 best at 168 right now, and Pavlik already beat Taylor twice. Kessler's defence is a bit better than Taylor's, but it isn't all that great, and he is no where near as fast as JT. Mikkel has a bad habit of going straight back when under pressure. That makes Pavlik's jab-right-hand easy to land. Kessler has a very good jab, and he's a bit faster with it than Pav is with his, but Pavlik's jab is no joke, and he is FAR more versatile with it than Kessler. I could go on and on, but basically this fight is a jabbing contest, and there is absolutely no reason to believe it would not be very competetive. Miranda won the first fight with Abraham. If that fight had taken place in AC, Vegas, New York, or any other respectable boxing town, even Steve Smoger would have stopped it. After that Miranda beat 7 shades of **** out of Allan Green who is probably better than anyone on AA's resume' except Miranda. Then he fought Pavlik, and has not been the same fighter since. Abrahm has looked very good against a bunch of C+ and B- level fighters. However, he could not stop guys like Eastman, Sannon Taylor, and Kofi Jantuah. The chance of him stopping Pavlik are very, very slim. As far as me writing the same things over and over, the truth may **** you off, but it does not change.
