Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Not one person who picked Abraham over Pavlik on this thread offered an analysis.
I agree that Calzaghe is a whole different style, but I still have questions about Kessler's willingness to leave everything in the ring. In my opinion Joe won that fight on heart. When the fight got tough, Slappy cranked it up a notch. He was willing to leave everything in the ring. Kessler -- not so much.
I offered no detailed analysis, right, but I already explained why AA is my favourite. Pavlik's style is tailor-made for AA. Pavlik won't change his strategy and that will be the deciding point. He won't stay away from AA, but he should. Pav definitely should try to box from the outside and let AA come...but as I said he won't do that. Pav will go forward with the intention to wear AA down and that is a bad strategy against a guy who has freakish one punch power. I don't agree that Pav is able to break AA's turtle shell. All in all AA's better defensive qualities and his punching power will decide the fight.
You mean something like the following(and i quote you here...) "I can't wait for Pavlik/Abraham to happen. How anyone can watch film of these two guys and come away thinking AA wins is beyond me. Pavlik is a stylisitic nightmare for Abraham. And please don't parrot that **** about how Arthur "eats come forward fighters." Arthurs best opponent was Miranda, and he had to fight him twice. The pre-pavlik version made AA look like something out of a Dean Coontz novel. The post pavlik version got knocked out. That's not a coincidence." An argument on the same level Pro AA could be: Taylor knocked Pavlik down- AA hits harder than Taylor - AA knocks Pavlik out! I mean...seriously?!
Read the thread, or shut the **** up. As a poster you are only slightly better than English Titan, and not as smart as UnbeatableFloyd. I've laid out analysis on Pavlik/Abraham at least 2 dozens times over the past two years. You on the other hand are to busy fondling your pecker to analyze anything but your own head cheese!
