it means....it's a tough series of fight to answer. i'm normally pretty opinionated but these choices are tough.
i think kessler decisions pavlik and abraham. Pavlik-Abraham i change my mind every other day...at the moment....late tko for pavlik
Oh, I get you now. If you had to guess though - could you see anybody going undefeated through those three fights?
All three fights are pretty close to me and I could see each one going either way.. I'd probably lean more to Kessler right now though, possibly winning both fights..
Pavlik ko's Kessler and decisions Abraham but Abraham beats UDs Kessler. Kessler admitted after the Calzagay fight that Joe hurt him with one of his slaps. If JC hurt him, Pavlik will knock him out. Abraham beats Kessler in a war. Both go down in the fight.....Abraham wons on points. Pavlik uses his height, jab and workrate to beat Abraham 8-4. Abraham has some good moments where he lands some beautifully time counter hooks, but Pavlik wins the fight behind the double-jab/right hand. Both fighters fight tentatively throughout the fight first half of the fight, each leary of the other's power. Pavlik, like in the Taylor rematch, steps it up late and dominates the championship rounds.
Pavlik KO8 Abraham: Arthur simply does not have the style or the physical attributes to compete with Pavlik. Kelly keeps him on the ropes at the end of his jab, and within 6 rounds starts finding a home for the right hand. Kessler WIDE UD Abraham: Kessler gives AA a 12 round boxing lesson. Pavlik/Kessler: I lean toward a decision win for Pav based on my belief that Mikkell does not have the heart to fight 12 hard rounds against someone like Pavlik. However, I have said many times that Kessler is the single biggest threat to Pavlik's zero right now.
Pavlik does the absolute DIRTY on Kessler in my view. Kessler gets away too often with going straight backwards against other fighters. He hasn't met anyone who will keep coming forward like Pavlik does and he'll get hit with a right hand and it'll be all over. Pavlik vs Abraham is a tough contest. Abraham has pretty good defense when he turtle shells, combined with faster handspeed and proven power. I'd love to see Pavlik vs Abraham
I would say that AA beats Pavlik by TKO. Kessler beats both guys via UD - boxing. I believe that AA has the power, the turtle defence and the explosiveness to KTFO both Kessler and Pavlik. But Kesslers defence is so much better than Pavlik's....
I agree with your assertions on AA's power and explosiveness, I like him as a guy who could cause big waves and think he's not quite "known" by the American audience yet.. maybe a Duddy fight for him just to massacre a guy well known is on the cards. However, Kessler. I just don't see it. Kessler is a decent, solid, textbook fighter with two gaping flaws. He doesn't possess combination punching outside of the 1-2. He tends to move straight backwards when pressured, which is why Pavlik was so able to massacre Miranda and set the benchmark for others to do it. I just don't see him doing well against Pavlik. I could see Kessler beating Abraham, because Abraham may struggle to get past the reach and has shown he doesn't neccessarily like being hit, Pavlik will just keep coming. Got to remember, while Kessler may be better than Taylor, they're not polar opposites.
