Pavlik-Abraham will be a guaranteed FOTY candidate

Well.... first thing you said was that they both throw or swing "wide" with punches.... sure Abraham does, but for you to say that Pavlik does is completely inaccurate, he throws very straight punches and short hooks. The main reason Pavlik is the best MW in the world is because of his physical tools not his boxing skill.... he is a good , well seasoned boxer... but its the reach, 6'3 height , power , stamina and chin that have carried him to the MW crown. So yea... he has flaws, but not many out there will ever be able to expose them like BHOP did.

 

@boo: You know that with your harsh talk against Abraham your crow to swallow will be huge in case your´e wrong (I hope this long sentence makes sense ).

 

i'm gonna go out on a limb to say that Abraham ko's Pavlik in a great fight! War Abraham!

 

Abraham fights up to the level of competition he faces...that's all I have to say...

 

for abraham's sake the fight needs to happen sooner rather than later...it seems that he is having a harder and harder time making 160 and has said the only reason he does it anymore is b/c he wants pav. the more time that goes by, the harder it will be...that being said, i would take pav to have a later rounds tko. abraham will not be able to keep that shell defense up all fight with pav bombing away at his forearms the first 5 rounds. if pav can keep his distance and his head about him and just unload on abraham's forearms the first few rounds, those gloves will eventually drop and create an opportunity to end it.

(that is not abraham hate btw...cuz i do like him, just not in this fight)

 

Yes I agree with this.
But Arthur and his team without a doubt also know that he will get destroyed if he shows up in the same form as in the Simon fight. That being said, look for Arthur to come in in (much) better shape than in his last outing.

needs to happen asap...that is probably only one of a handful of things that everyone, to a person on this board, can agree on.

 

Pav only fights one way. He comes forward, jabs, and then turns into Mr. left/right. AA has the speed advantage, the power advantage, and better defense, and he can jab also. Basically, AA is heads and toes the better pure boxer than Pav who can't box a lick. The minute Pav gets hurt by AA, the fight is over. AA has been a champion for a long time(longer than Pav) at 160 as his number of defenses show. This will help him in how to deal with any situation presented by Pav. If the weight does not affect either man coming in, I see AA either taking out Pav with the first combo he hurts PAv with early in the fight, or breaking him down later in the fight...and stopping him.

 

The way Abraham fights he will never be a FOTY candidate. He simply is too inactive. :deal

 

While your taking the time to give well thought analysis is a breath of fresh air, you also go and show how dumbed down it all really is by suggesting that to be a fan of Kelly Pavlik one must be enveloped in some "senseless backward, closeted rasicm".:bart

Pav isn't the best MW in the world. You might be right by saying that there aren't that many other fghters at mw who could expose PAv. There are no other good MW's out there except AA at the moment. AA has all the tools to do the same thing Hop did to Pav...except more brutal.
