I dont think Pavlik would get caught with anything stupid. He will get hit but not like miranda who falls in face forward b/c he is clumsy. Pavlik keeps his distance and gets his shots off from range. AA would have to close the gap and he is the only fighter I have ever seen that cant really fight going forward and is %100 better at fighting backward. Even pure counter punchers can come forward.

Why would I be ****ing with you? Pavlik isn't some defensive specialist. But yeah, he did outjab Taylor. I'll give you that. Though Zertuche, who throws punches wider than a ****ing house, caught Pavlik FLUSH numerous times and stunned him.

Exactly:good for the most part when Pavlik is not punching his hands are up, almost but not quite as solid as a Glen Johnson D, still much better than most:deal

No, I don't think he'd get caught with anything stupid either. He learned his lesson from the Taylor fight and AA can't put combo's together as quickly as Taylor can. Though what he does throw is a lot harder

And we all know how Kelly took those punches and how the fight ended.....on that note Zertuche has a much higher workrate and actually mixes his punches up...both of which Abraham doesnt do:deal

I agree Samurai but what your missing is the vast difference in overall skillset.....judging from your more thoughtful posts on here I think you know what I'm talking about.......and I also think you remember Pavlik laughing at repeated bombs from Miranda in the 5th of their fight

Higher workrate, worse defense, far less punching power, and not as good a body puncher. :deal

I remember those. But part of what has to be taken into consideration here is that AA fights much better off the backfoot than Pantera does.

and Pavlik fights much better off the frontfoot than anyone Abraham has ever thought of fighting....as I've said Pavlik HAS fought that style....Bronco McKart does the same exact ****, almost identical......say what you want about Bronco but he fought Winky Wright 3 times for some reason or another:huh

Kelly has very little chance of KOing Arthur.

If the fight goes the distance, it favours Kelly as he will likely be busier.

Arthur has a proven chin (He survived eight rounds with a broken Jaw against an as big or bigger hitter than Kelly.)

Kelly does not. (He was almost KOd in round two by Taylor)

Abraham's first KD punch against Miranda Saturday was a short compact pile-driver.

The looping hooks you mention, only came into play as part of the endgame, and most finishers use such shots when their quarry is wounded and being finished off.

Arthur has more devastating one-punch KO power than Kelly and a better defence.

    Prediction:

    If UD: Pavlik
    If KO: Abraham

Final Prediction: Abraham, by mid to late stoppage.

Certainly you can differentiate defense by movement and defense by covering....at least I hope......one is no better than the other...it's all in execution really.....and Pavliks offense will trump Abrahams defense with ease.....when its over please be here to say I told you so mate

I agree, Pavlik would be without question the best fighter Abraham has fought. My posts seem like I give the edge to Abraham in this fight, but I've been going back and forth with this one.

How about all you little girls stop you're bickering. Basically it's a toss up, yes we know the up's and down's of both fighters and it's debateable. That's why it's going to be such a great fight when it happens, probably in January or February. I don't know who's going to take it but I'll be rooting for Pavlik, I've been watching him since his pro-debut and on his side ever since.

The funny thing is is that this won't even be close.....Pavlik will thoroughly dominate, pummel and eventually KO Arthur...it really won't be competitive:-(
